"Hazel hun! The Cullens came for a visit!" Groaning, Hazel pulled herself out of bed. Realising her mothers words, she quickly dressed herself and threw her hair into a ponytail. The school week had passed by quickly, despite Hazel being semi-awkward around Jasper and the other Cullens. But now the same people she'd been avoiding had shown up at her  house for a visit, knowing that they normally didn't leave home (because of the whole vampire thing), her mother had more than likely insisted they come over. Hazel laughed, her mother was quite the silver-tongued woman. "Hurry up Haze!" Marina called again, this time becming slightly irritated with the ebonettes sluggishness.

Pulling the door open, Hazel ran downstairs and into the living where she was greeted by sevral pairs of amber eyes. "Well, I didn't realize all of you would be here. Hello then." She waved awkwardly and sat beside her rather bubbly mother.

"I apologize for dropping in unannounced, I came to check in on Hazel. And my wife and children insisted on coming with." Carlisle spoke and Hazel squinted her eyes. She was convinced her mother had invited them, but apparently not.

Marina nodded, turning to Hazel. "I'm going to run to the store to pick stuff up for dinner," Hazel nodded and her mother turned the Cullens. "Apologies, I wouldn't be leaving so soon if I'd known you would be stopping by. But I'm sure my daughter would do well enough to entertain you. Be a dear Hazel and take care of them while they're here please." Nodding, Hazel stayed silent as her mother left through the front door.

"Right. I think I know why you're all really here, I mean, it's not hard to guess." The Cullens seemed on edge, carefully listening to each of Hazel's words. "I also know why you guys are on edge, it's because of the silver strip in my hair, correct?" They all looked between each other then nodded.

"I'll tell you this. Yes, I am a vampire slayer. I was taught the trade by my father and after he passed, my grandfather. However, my family hav not been active vampire slayers in years. So you don't have to worry about me attacking you."

Edward was the first to speak, "So you know. What we are I mean."

Hazel nodded, "I do, it wasn't hard for me to guess, because I'm aware of vampire lore and from two certain acts of unnatural strenght and speed, I was able to figure it out. You're vampires, and though it goes against my natural code, I could never bring myself to kill any of you.

"Besides, my grandfather is a vampire as well. So no judement here, I know not all vampires are monsters." With that, Hazel fell silent eyeing the Cullens warily.

"You're incredibly understanding for being someone who is supposed to be our sworn enemy." Carlisle laughed and the others smiled. "I'm sure you are also aware of vampire law, and I hope you won't tell anyone about us."

"Of course not, I enjoy your childrens company in school. Betraying you guys like that would go against everything I stand for." Hazel looked to Jasper, who had his lips upturned slightly.

Emmet's booming laughter interrupted Hazel, and soon she was being squeezed to death by the muscular boy. "Sweet, I'm glad I get to keep screwing around with you in class Sprout." Aaah yes, Emmet had nicknamed her Sprout because of her smaller size. They'd become rather close, often messing around in the back of class instead of doing classwork. Despite her being aware of his non-humanness, Hazel couldn't seem to ignore his peppy mood.

"Me too Em. Also, please put me down, my physical abilities may be slightly better then the average humans, but that doesn't mean you won't crush me." Hazel laughed as Emmet carefully set her back on th ground.

Noticing Edward's smirk, Hazel then turned to the pale boy, raising an eyebrow. "You got something on your mind Edward?"

"I believe a certain member of my family is particularly happy you'll still be hanging around us." Following Edward's line of sight, her soft blue eyes landed on Jasper. In an instant her face lit up bright red, as she and the blonde made eye contact.
