Back to normal

Days passed and the circumstances hadn't changed a lot and everything started to get back to normal. The friends decided it was oke to all get back to their own homes.

That day, everyone left bit for bit. Heiko and Richi stayed behind.

"So.. that's it" said Richi as he walked up to the roof where Heiko was sitting.
Heiko mumbled. "I guess so"..
"what's wrong?"
"I don't feel like going home.. alone.." he said.
Richi sat next to him on the roof. "I figured.."
He didn't get a response from Heiko.
"That's why I arranged something else"..

Heiko looked up at Richi with a confused look.

"I figured we both could use some time away from everything".
"What have you planned?" Asked Heiko.

Richi could see Heiko his eyes light up with excitement.
"Calm down.. You will see when we get there"..

Heiko took his bags and sat in the passengers seat of Richi his car.

"Where are we going captain Richi" said Heiko in a joking voice.
"South!" Said Richi.

They drove for a few hours when Heiko dosed off. this usually would happen during long car rides. He always got tired from the car rides. When he woke up, he looked around. The landscape had changed.. no city life.. but grass fields as far as the eye could see.

"Grass" said Heiko when he sat himself back up.
"Wow! I am impressed of your knowledge" responded Richi sarcastic.

Heiko smiled at him. A few more hours said Richi.
"So we are going all the way to the south?"
"Yes"..
"lovely".

After a few more hours of driving and Heiko who sang along to all the songs that played on the radio, they arrived at a farm.

"Here we are" said Richi.
"A farm?"
"Yes!"

He saw Heiko looking around with confusion until he noticed a giant bunny.
"That's going to be my new best friend".
"I am not surprised" said Richi while he laughed from the inside.

Richi and Heiko took the baggage out of the car and put them inside the farm. They got greeted by the owners of the farm. An elderly couple that looked very friendly. They seemed very excited to have them here.

"It's perfect to get some rest, or to work on new things without getting bothered". Said the man.

They got a quick tour around the farm. It was a big property, on one side of the farm were lots of flowers, on the other side were all kinds of crops and next to there were some farm animals. A few bunnies, goats and sheep. Heiko leaned over the fence to pet the bunny.
"They are cute right?" Said the lady.
"Very cute!"
"You can hold it if you want".

Heiko smiled. She walked into the cage and took a big white bunny.
"This is Cinderella, she is our princess."
"She is so fluffy!" Said Heiko while he petted her.
"She just gave birth.. You want to see them?" Heiko agreed.

But before they went there they went further with their tour around the farm. In the back of the property were hay bales laid out. This is perfect for an evening campfire said the man. Richi laughed.

"I saw the guitars in the back". Said the man.
"Oh yes.. we aren't very good thought" said Richi.
Heiko added: "that's why we hide out here. So nobody has to suffer."
The man laughed and winked at them.
"Let's see the baby bunnies said the woman.

Heiko and Richi followed. They entered a barn with lots of hay. The woman walked towards a fence and said:

"there they are".

Heiko walked over and looked at the bunnies.

"They are so small.. so innocent"
"indeed they are" said the woman.
