Herbst flüstert

The days had passed  quickly. A lot of work had been done and now came the time to go back home. Fall was coming, and Heiko was very excited for it.

Heiko had packed his bags and carried them downstairs. He put them in the hallway in front of the door. The other guys were still packing their stuff. Their music and equipment had already been packed and put in the van.  Heiko sat down at the bar looking at his phone. He answered some message he had gotten. Then he felt two hands on his shoulder. The touch was cold and gave Heiko a shiffer. He looked over and saw it was Richi.

"Why are your hands so cold?" Asked Heiko.
"It's cold outside. It's starting to become fall."
Heiko smiled. He took Richi his hands and warmed them with his own hands. At this moment Till walked in the room. He looked at them. Took a deep breath and screamed: "DISGUSTING" When soon after he started laughing in an evil manner. Heiko and Richi laughed as well. "We know you are just jealous Till.." Till laughed. "That's what you think." as he said this he walked out the room. Heiko could hear the outside door open and close which meant that Till went outside to his car. Heiko grabbed his jacket and walked towards the door as well. Richi followed him. On their way out they grabbed their bags and took them outside. Outside the building the others were waiting. They weren't speaking.

"What are we waiting for?" Asked Heiko.
"We are waiting for the studio owner. He said he has a gift for us." Answered Christian.
Heiko sat down impatiently on the side of the road. He looked observed the others. Richi had taken out a pack of cigarettes and lit one. Till was moving his car keys back and forth between his fingers. Christian was moving his feet like he was nervous. Oliver stood on his skateboard doing some small tricks. Chris was leaning against the studio walls and looking at his phone.

Just as Heiko got nervous from the silence, a voice broke it. "Bonjour!"
They all looked over and greated the man. It was an elder man, dressed with a white shirt and suspenders.  He was wearing a hat. If Heiko didn't know better, he could have thought this man played a role in a maffia movie.

The man was carrying a wooden box with him. He put the wooden box on the floor and shook Till his hand and soon after all the other guys their hands as well. He thanked them for their stay. He handed the wooden box to Till. Till accepted it and thanked the man. He held the box while the man opened it. Inside was a special champagne bottle. "To celebrate when the album is released!" said the man with a big smile. The guys all thanked him and laughed. They talked for a while about their stay and how they had enjoyed it. After a while Till hinted the other guys that it was time to go. "We still have a long journey to go." Could Heiko hear him say. Heiko was happy that Till finaly broke up the conversation. He was ready to go home. They put the last bags in the cars and they all got in their car. The old man waved them down, as they drove off. Ones they were on their way, Heiko took a deep breath.

"you really don't like these kind of talks do you?"
"They always last forever.." Said Heiko while rolling his eyes.
Richi laughed. "So.. Anything you want to do on our way home?"
"Not really.. I just want to go home."
"Really!?" Said richi with disbelieve.
"Yes? Why..? "
"usually you don't say no to some longer journey."
"I want to start celebrating fall!"
"Don't .. tell me... You made another stupid list.."
"It's not stupid! And you have to join me with it."
"Do I have to?"
"YES!"
"hm.. Tell me the list."
"Not yet.."
"Why not? It's not finished yet?" said richi in silly voice.
"It's ready, but if I tell you now, You might leave me here in france. And i don't want that..."
Richi laughed. "Fine.."

Heiko connected his phone with the car and put on his spotify playlist. He and richi sang along to the songs. After a few hours of driving, they stopped at a gasstation. Richi parked the car and they walked inside the station. Heiko went to the bathroom. When he walked in a guy recognized him.

"Are you Heiko!?" Heiko was a bit surprised. He smiled. "Yes that's me."
"THIS IS AMAZING! They will never believe I met you!"
"Surely not when you tell them it was in the bathroom at a gasstation.. " Said Heiko a bit embarrassed.
"I am so sorry! I will let you be!"
"we can take a picture outside if you want.. "
The guy smiled and said: "I would be forever grateful."
Heiko smiled.
"I will let you do your thing in peace."
"Thankyou...." Said Heiko.

When he walked out the bathroom he saw the guy standing with Richi. "He found you already i see" Said Heiko as he walked up to them. "THIS is the best day ever!" said the guy. Heiko smiled and took a picture with him. Richi had bought a coffee for both of them and some energy drinks. They greated the guy and left. Heiko walked as fast as he could. "Why such a hurry? "
"You know how weird it is when they meet you in the toilet???" Richi laughed loudly. "Stop!! you are atracting attention from everyone.." Richi couldn't stop laughing. Heiko ran to the car. "Open it asshole." Richi opened the car. As he sat down, He laughed at Heiko. "You are a dick." "i know.." He handed Heiko his coffee. "Will you drive in 4 hours? " "sure."

They drove off. Heiko put his chair a bit backwards and closed his eyes for a while while he listened to the music. As Heiko dozed off, richi pushed the brakes. Making Heiko be fully awake again. "You fucking asshole." Richi laughed. "Sorry I had to."

A few hours later, Richi pulled over. "Your turn" Heiko got up and sat himself behind the wheel. First ajusting the chair a lot further to the front. Richi laughed. "I don't have such a long legs.. " "that's oke." Heiko drove for a while, and it had become dark. When they entered Frankfurt, Heiko pulled the car over. "What's wrong?" Asked Richi in confusion. "Nothing! I need to do something." "You need to pee again??" Heiko laughed. "Noo..." he grabbed his camera from the backseat. "Look how beautiful it is!" He said as he climbed up a small hill. "You are insane." Yelled richi at him. "Come look!" Richi rolled his eyes. "FINE."

They stood there for a while looking at the view. "Oke.. it is pretty.." said Richi. Heiko smiled. "Yes.." Richi gave Heiko, who was now sitting in the grass, A kiss on top of his head. Heiko looked up. Richi could see his eyes sparkle because of the streetlights. "Shall we go..? And start on your awful list." "It's not awful.." said heiko as he got up and ran after richi.

Heiko drove for some more hours. Then Richi drove the last hours towards home. When they arrived home, they parked the car and went straight to bed. When they laid there, Richi said: Goodnight Heiko.. Ich liebe dich. Heiko turned him over to face Richi. "ich liebe dich auch.." giving Richi a kiss. It was quiet for some time, Till Heiko said: Only if you want to so my list with me. "OH SHUT UP!" said richi who now put his pillow over his head.
