True friendship

a few weeks later

Heiko was already used to being back in Berlin again. He had missed the city and especially the amazing coffee you could get. Today he had planned to meet up with Richi and Till at their usual coffee shop.

It was a beautiful spring day and it was very warm. Actually a bit too warm to drink coffee. When they met up they decided to try out the ice coffee for once. "let's see what this hype is about" had Till mumbled.

The guys talked about a lot of things that were going on and plans that they had. When their drinks arrived they all took a sip.
"Why is this so popular?!" Said richi with confusion in his voice.
"This tastes like milk with a little bit of coffee"
it was not a succes according to Till and Richi.

Heiko actually liked it, he wasn't a big fan of strong coffee anyways. They all were taking a few more sips when richi said:
"you heard the news about that virus?"
Heiko hadn't.. he tried to avoid the news as much as possible. "No?" He said.

Richi told him about the virus happening in china and that it could spread to where they were.
"Maybe we also have to go in lockdown if it gets here.." said richi.
"Stop trying to scare us!" Said till "we are stronger then some virus"
"sure you are.." said Heiko.
"Well... if we will go in Lockdown, then I don't want to be alone.." said Heiko.
Richi looked over at him. "No.. we should all get together then. Make something fun out of it"
"this sounds like "THE" horrible camping trip..." said till.
"So you are not joining us?"
"I let you know when the choice really has to be made" he said with a smirk.

Richi thought back to the Horrible camping trip Till had mentioned earlier. He had to laugh a bit about it. But he remembered that at the time he could kill everyone there.

the horrible camping trip..

The friend group had decided they would to camping. "A great way to get closer to each other and to have some time off." Had Till said. Richi didn't like camping but he didn't want to ruin the fun. By that, all the other guys seemed to be very exited for it. Till would lead their camping trip since he usually spends his time out camping.

They had driven for hours in a van until they reached the middle of nowhere somewhere in the woods. Richi heard Till say: "there we are! From here we have to walk".

He parked the van and opened the back doors. Heiko almost jumped out full of excitement to finally be out of that cramped van. Heiko usually is very bad at sitting still. so richi was already surprised they made it here without taking a break.

They all took the camping supplies from the van and walked after till into the woods. They went on a path, that clearly hadn't been walked on for a long time. "Where are we even going?" Asked Christian.

"I know a great spot where we can go camping!" Said Till. "It isn't much further"..

the guys walked after Till. But after 20 more minutes of walking, richi asked:
"what is not much further in your dictionary?!"
"Don't be such a pussy" said Till. "5 more minutes"

richi let out a sight but walked after them.

"HERE WE ARE!" Till said.
"FINALLY" heard richi from behind him.

He looked over and saw Heiko throwing the bags on the ground and laying down in the grass. Till walked over to Heiko and gave him a soft kick against the legs.

"First set up camp. Then you can rest" he said.

Heiko made some grumpy sounds but stood up. The guys worked together to set up the tent. It was a very heavy tent and it was very warm. the guys had some annoyance while setting up, but after they were pretty content with their work.

They sat down at their camp and drank some beers. Later that night they decided it was time to get some rest so they have enough energy tomorrow. They laid down in the tent and all were quiet. Then they started to hear a sound..

" WHO LET THE TENT OPEN" screamed Till. Everyone was quiet. Till turned on the light and looked around. "THERE YOU ARE" he said while slapping Heiko his back. CHeiko looks at Till with annoyance.
"GOODNIGHT" till says Without apologizing.

now they all laid there in the dark. Someone started to snore and out of nowhere someone farted. "GREAT!" they heard Heiko say. While running out the tent.

Everyone following him. They started fighting about who did it.
"i am so done with you all" said richi.
After 10 minutes they all went back inside.

Finally everyone fell asleep until chris woke up to a tapping sound. "STOP doing that!" He said.
"What?!" Said richi "YOU woke me!"
"That tapping sound... Who ever is doing that... I will kill you"
Then Till turned on the light again noticing a GIANT tarantula walking trough the tent.
"I AM OUT" said Richi and Chris while running out of the tent. He heard Heiko run after him.
"Come on! You are not scared of a little spider are you?" Said Till while walking out the tent.
"I am not going to get back in there with that spider crawling around" said Chris.
"Fine!" Said Till.
"Let's move the tent, because we are clearly in it's hunting area.."

they packed their stuff again and walked trough the dark forest looking for the new camping spot. After 20 minutes of walking Till stopped.
"this is a good spot" he said while laying down the bags.
"You sure?!" Asked christian.
before till could answer they heard a big bang and some cursing.
"Scheiße tree.." said Heiko who fell over some tree roots.

Richi couldn't help but laugh at the small guy laying in the tall grass.
"Come come.." said chris who pulled him up.
"Let's set up camp quickly so we can sleep" said till.

They all agreed. When they finished setting up camp, they all laid down.
"Psst.. Till.." said Heiko.
"What?!"
"You are the worst camping trip leader out there" said heiko.
"If you want to survive the night you better go to sleep" said till.

It was not possible to see his face, but you could know he was smiling..

NEVER again.. thought richi to himself..
