We walked back to a control room. The three of us sat down. Sidious looked rather happy with himself. I guess he didn't know altering midi-chlorians was possible.
"How did you do it, Lord Vader? Turning people to the dark side could tremendously help our cause."
"Well, it was an accident really," Vader started, "but I think I can do it again. I got sidetracked and was thinking about how different he dark side is from the light and it turned out like this."
"Hmmmm....is that so....."
And then, I said something. Something I know that in my right mond I eould never say. "So can we go torture the Jedi prisoners now? I'm getting impatient." I jad no idea why I said that. I just wasn't me I guess.
"Sure, sure. You know the way."
I got up wnd walked to the prison corridor to find the first Jedi I'd freed making sure he had helped everyone escape. He turned and looked at me.
"Well, well," I said, again not meaning anything I said, "come back to free more Jedi?"
"They've done something to you. No, all the Jedi are safe back at the temple."
I realized then what I had to do to reset my balance. All those years ago on Mortis, the daughter had revived me. Anakin had joined the son. I guess some of their powers still resided in us. If Anakin could make me dark, then I could make myself light again...I hope....
I concentrated on my memory of the daughter, her light, the way she glowed. I began to feel normal again. I looked around to make sure everything was ok, but I couldn't see anything, just glowing light. I didn't even know if I was in control of myself or what.
The next thing I knew, I had fallen unconscious fo who knows who long.
