We walked back to her room. Lux decided to stay in the waiting area. She was awake, but barely breathing. I knew she would survive.
"How are you feeling?" I asked as I sat down on the foot of her bed.
"Dreadful," she said.
"That was a nasty wound. I tried my best, but it just wasn't good enough."
"You were fine. Thanks."
We had a long chat about how we were going to have to leave her here to recover until we are able to get a ship off the planet. We had to find a refugee ship or a blockade runner willing to help us. She would rendezvous with us when she was ready.
We said our goodbyes, and I ventured back to the waiting room to get Lux. Together, we walked outside.
"So what do we do now?" Lux asked.
I hadn't thought about that. "What do we do now? I came here to do something about the terrible government, but there isn't really anything I can do. I have one last errand to run before we leave, though. Pick me up at the Academy in an hour or so. Tell Bo-Katan that we will be back to finish this mission."
"Will do. Good luck."
I smiled and nodded. I turned and walked towards the Academy. I had to have a chat with Korkie.
