"I didn't expect to get that many birthday wishes today. It was like I was the Queen of England or something," I paused, "well, maybe not but it sure did feel like it." I spoke into the phone to Karmen.
I just got back home from having lunch with Henry. He took me out of school early so we could grab some grub from this dope restaurant in upper Manhattan. It was apart of my birthday present from him, including $200.
"I'm telling you it was your outfit, those legs had all the guys in a trance girl!" Karmen boasted, I looked down at my skirt, it was a little bit above my knee but I still felt exposed.
"Who you telling, it seemed like only dudes told me happy birthday just to get a up close look at my legs," I rolled my eyes, "makes me sick."
Karmen giggled, "Elijah seemed to enjoy the view too."
Her comment made me smile, "I knew I wasn't the only one who peeped that, he was making me nervous man. Those hazel eyes are the devil." I stripped out of my clothes and proceeded to put on my outfit for my skate party later on.
"You loved it though. I can't believe he stood on the table in front of the whole cafeteria and forced them to sing happy birthday to you!"
"Me too! Had me feeling special and shit."
"That's what boyfriends do right?"
"Ha ha," I began to brush my hair, "when are you, Kendall and Elijah coming to pick me up?"
"Elijah said around 6:15 ish. He said he has to make a few stops, he's probably picking up your present." she sang the last part.
"I'm pretty sure he's not." I testified.
"Why you say that?"
"He said and I quote 'I don't have a present for yo goofy ass'." I imitated his nasly voice, Karmen busted out into laugher.
"This proves you be around him too much cause you sound just like him, you were spot on girl." she calmed down from her giggling fit.
"I'm telling you he's isn't. If he does it's probably just a card, something simple." I shrugged.
I don't want my gift from Elijah to be too much because I'll think too deep into it and start to develop more feelings for him. I don't like him, I'm just attracted to him in a weird non sexual way if that makes sense.
