Katrina.

6:39pm

"That skirt would look so bomb on you." Frankie boasted as she sipped on her cheery slurpee.

I put the sheer bottom against me, "Don't you think its a little skimpy?"

"That's the point! I'm sure Elijah would love it on you, or off of you if you two are into that." she joked making me giggle and put the skirt back on the rack.

My cousins, aunt and uncle decided to stay in town until after New Years so their staying with my grandparents. Me, Karmen, Kendall, Elijah, Freddie and Frankie are at the mall now shopping around until the movie starts at 7:30.

Karmen and Kendall are at the record shop, Freddie is probably at the food court trying to mack on some girls and Elijah and Frankie are in Gap with me.

I looked Elijah's way just as a salesgirl walked
up to him trying to sell him a shirt that wasn't even his size.

"Why the hell is she smiling so hard, he's not even talking." my eyes stayed glued to them.

"She's just doing her job Kat," Frankie snickered, "besides, your talking to another guy and he sure as hell ain't no salesman."

My head snapped her way, "You're making it sound like I'm a hoe or something, and it's not like that." I defended.

"Then what is it like? Face it Katrina, you still have something for Michael and you don't know what to do so you keep him around if Elijah screws up and vice versa. You got problems." she boldly stated as I sighed.

"Can you blame me?"

"Yes. That's what I'm doing now." she picked up a turtleneck and hung it over her arm.

"What I mean is I have commitment issues because of my past...I can't help it. I know that's a punk excuse but it's true."

"All I'm saying is you wouldn't want anyone to do what your doing to you, it's not right. I'm not sugarcoating nothing for you because your my cousin, I want you to do better."

I stayed silent as I watched the salesgirl walk away from Elijah.

"I'm gonna cop this turtleneck and skirt for aunt Cassies New Years party, we'll meet up at the court in thirty, cool?" she says.

"Cool."

Me and Michael's relationship is purely friendly, we haven't seen each other since he showed up at my uncles restaurant almost a month ago, all we do is talk on the phone. He flirts with me but I laugh it off so I see no wrong in what I'm doing.

If I had to choose between being with Elijah or Michael, I would pick Elijah no doubt.

Frankie went up to the counter to purchase her outfit, I pulled on my navy blue fleece as I made my way to Elijah.

"Hi."

He looked at me and smiled, "Whats up, how you think this corduroy will look on me?" he held it up.

"Maybe try it on."

"Smart." he shrugged of his windbreaker handing it to me, he slid on the jacket, it fitted him nicely.

"I swear you wanna be me so bad, you never wanted a corduroy until I had one. What's next, you gonna get a nose piercing?" I teased.

"Funny. If anything you wanna be me and that's on the real." he's checking out every angle of him in the full body mirror and he looks good doing it.

"What ya think, on a scale of 1-10."

"-2."

"Be serious, Noon."
