Questions swirled around my head but the real question was, can I take up this much information without him realizing?

This was too much for me to handle so I sub cautiously picked up a sharp blade from nearby and sliced it over my stomach.

Blood slowly oozed out as  I used my hand to glide over it and I wince in pain.

No, this was not working. My mind needed to concentrate on this instead of what I just found out.

The metal blade again touched my soft skin as I cut two more deep cuts. Pain. That was what I felt.

Too much pain to focus on what just happened. This was what I wanted.

I used my hand to try to get all the blood away but it wouldn't stop flowing out from the wounds.

But this time, the pain was too much to handle and my vision started to get blurry.

The ceiling was spinning as I clutched onto my stomach with my bloody hands.

My vision turned pitch black instantly.

I was mind linked by John that I should go check up on Charlotte as it had been two hours since she said she wanted to rest and she had not left the room since.

When I opened the door, I was shocked by what I saw.

Charlotte was lying on the ground near the bed and a pool of blood was found beside her.

Her hands were bloody and her shirt was soaked in red.

There was a sharp blade beside her and that was when it hit me. Many cuts were found on her stomach and blood was dripping out of it.

I snapped out of my daze when I spotted her unconscious. Blood, I didn't care how much might stain me; all I needed to know was if she'd be okay.

In a frantic rush, I sped to the pack hospital, and they whisked her away to the emergency room.

As I sat there, my thoughts raced back to the horrifying state in which I had found her. I had hoped that I had liberated her from her painful past, but I was mistaken.

She remained shattered, fragile, and, above all, in desperate need of someone to support her.

The mere thought of her injuries sent waves of anger surging through me, consuming me with fury at the person responsible.

My rage reached a breaking point, and I couldn't contain it any longer. In a fit of frustration, I punched the nearest wall, creating a gaping hole.

"Hey, calm down. What happened?" John asked, his concern palpable.

"When I went to check on her, I found her looking dead with blood around her and a sharp blade. There was blood on her hands and cuts on her stomach. You had no idea how scared I was John, I thought I lost her for good." I said as a few tears streamed down my cheeks.

All along, John was the only one who saw me cry and go weak.

I couldn't let the others know as I was their alpha the strong and tough one.

John patted my back as he said to me " It's going to be okay. Just ask her what happens when she wakes up."

I was upset about how she would go and self-harm but more upset with myself for not realizing something was up with her.

I left her alone without even asking, disregarding her plea for rest.

I couldn't fathom how she would've inflicted such harm upon herself. The blame rested solely on my shoulders.

When the doctors emerged from the emergency room, I rushed forward, desperate for news of her condition.

"She's lost a significant amount of blood due to the deep cuts, but we managed to save her and bandage her wounds. Right now, she needs rest," the doctor informed me.

A sigh of relief escaped me as John approached and offered his assistance. "You take care of her. I'll help with the tasks."

I gazed at my mate, her normally rosy cheeks now pallid, her appearance far from the peaceful image she had once projected. I couldn't help but question whether bringing her back with me had been the right choice.

If I didn't, she might not be hurt this bad. I took her arms gently with mine and squeezed it a little bit.

"Please wake up soon..." I whispered.
