8. Ride along

Five-0 Office, 8 am

I walk through the glass double doors, remembering how to make my way to the office thanks to Duke's help yesterday. It's quiet as I look around searching for any signs of life until I spot McGarrett in his office. I'm one of the first people here so I take this as my chance to speak to him about what Guy has told me. Looking at him through the glass, it doesn't seem like he has noticed my presence. I gently knock on the door not wanting to startle him this early in the morning and he looks up, moving his hand telling me to come in once he saw that it was me,

"Morning Agent Lang," He says to me when I close the door behind me

I smile and nod my head, "Commander,"

"I see you've taken a shower and still showed up on time, my team is really letting me down right now," Steve says when he notices that part of my hair was still wet. Thanks for that Guy.

"Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about -Not my hair of course," I take a breath to gather my thoughts and Steve nods his head towards the chair that was in front of his desk. I take a seat and carry on, "I met with an old friend this morning to discuss what the head of the Lang family was-"

"Your uncle," Steve interjects

I take a deep breath and let it out, frustrated that Ryan had put me in this position. Possibly but I'm pretty sure he knew. I'm stressed because every decision I make has an outcome and no way was I going to let any outcome be what Ryan wished for, so I have to be careful that I don't accidentally burn myself on this case.

"What my uncle was doing with Madla last night," I pause a little before carrying on, "We were right, its a power-play meaning that this whole thing just got a whole lot bigger if- When the Yakuza retaliates"

"And this friend, do you trust him?" He asks

"With my life," I don't hesitate in answering.

"Alright, We'll let the team know- if they ever get here," Steve looks at his watch

"I'm surprised Danny isn't here, he didn't seem like that type of guy," I say

"He's with a friend of ours, he was on the team but he recently split with his wife, who was also on the team actually, so Danny's there to help," Steve explains to me and I simply nod my head,

"You guys should really have your own show," I smirk a little and Steve does the same.

"These are the pictures that I got from you yesterday and thankfully they were all clear enough to run through facial rec," Jerry says as he pulls up the pictures from last night onto the screens.

"Okay, so it looks like they're all from Madla's crew," Tani says leaning on the table with one hand whilst the other rested on her hip.

"Actually I've split the pictures in two, this side is Madla and his associates," He gestures to the left side of the screen and then points to the right, "These are of alleged members of The Lang Family and the last few pictures that I got from Steve and Agent Lang were of Ricki Tanaka,"

Seeing my uncles face in front of me makes my blood boil again. I couldn't understand why he would want to break the peace that my father struggled to create with the Yakuza. I need to see him when he gets back on the island.

"Who is this fella," Lou asks

"From the information that I could find he is the rumoured current leader of The Family. His son, Guy Tanaka, was named the CEO of Lang Incorporated. not too long ago," Jerry pulls up a picture of Guy exiting the company building and I couldn't help but smile when I saw him in a fancy suit. I forgot how nicely he cleaned up. I feel a pair of eyes looking at me and when I look to see who it was, I momentarily get caught in his blue eyes. Looking away before my cheeks could turn a light shade of red I inform the team,
