Other Realms comic shop, 6 pm
Steve's POV
Jerry interrogated The Guardian and was able to find out that Gene had sold his $30,000 comic book collection to fund the creation of his own comic series 'The mysterious Night Sentinal'. The whole team was at the comic shop to see the final book that Jerry helped finish. He actually based it on us which, I'm not going to lie, got the little kid inside of me happy,
"Even as a cartoon you're reckless," Danny says from behind me, making me put my phone away after checking it for the 100th time since we got here. I turn around to face him, ready to return the snarky remark but I stop when I see Charlie (Danny's son) with him,
"Hey buddy!" I say to the little man as I pull him into a hug
"Hi Uncle Steve," Charlie grins
"What do you think about your old man in a comic book?" I ask him
"I don't know, he complains a lot in it," His little eyebrows come closer together as he flicks through the book
"In real life too, Jerry got it spot on," I smirk at Danny
"Alright bud, go look at the other books," Danny shooed his son away. My phone buzzes in my pocket and I quickly pull it out to check who it was. Disappointed that the name on the screen wasn't who I was waiting for, I slip the phone back into my pocket, anxiety slowly starting to brew in my chest.
"You gonna tell me whats going on? You look like someone just broke up with you," Danny leans on the counter, searching my eyes for answers.
"No, it's Yasmin-"
"Oh, you like her now?" He straightens up with his signature stupid smile on his face. I immediately raise my hand up to stop him from speaking any further,
"She was supposed to check in with me half an hour ago but she hasn't sent anything," My voice sounding more worried as I spoke.
"Well where is she?, I'm sure she can handle herself," He says
"She's meeting her Uncle-"
"Okay so she's with family, what's wrong with that?" The way Danny says it so casually irritates me, making the anxiety that was brewing inside me start to boil.
"Danny!" I press my hand on my hip to stop my voice from raising, "Her uncle is Ricki Tanaka, the same guy we're getting dirt on,"
"I'm sorry what- you didn't think to mention that to me?" He squints his eyes at me, pointing both his hands at himself
"It didn't matter," I explain to him. It was true, it didn't matter until we discovered that it was her family that was working with Madla's crew, making this assignment much more dangerous...for her.
"It didn't matter?!" Danny's voice gets louder, "What do you mean it didn't matter?! Of course, it matters!"
"Look, Danny shout at me all you want later, but now I'm going to HQ to make sure she's alright," I say as I start to walk away from him.
"Alright? Of course, she's going to be just fine after going to visit the same person she took a picture of the other day!... Alone!" He runs his hand over his hair, walking behind me out of the shop.
"Hey, I'll help," Adam says as he follows us out, "Despite being on different teams, she's been cool,"
"You both literally had a gun to each others head this morning," Tani stands next to Adam

The whole team went back to HQ and we were gathered around the table,
