"Well unthink it," Adam scowls at me, "You can't make a rash decision like that,"
"It's not 'rash', if I go back now then I can stop the sale from happening- without anyone getting hurt," I say, my eyes pleading him to agree and reassure me that it was a good idea.
"You will get hurt, or did you forget that just a few days ago, your so-called 'uncle' was hunting you down!" He scolds
I let out an exasperated sigh and look away from him, annoyed that he couldn't see it from my perspective.
"Yasmin...look at me," Adam's voice softens, like an animal rescuer communicating with an abandoned kitten inside a storm drain.
Still annoyed, I drag my eyes back over and look into the ones that were set on his chiselled face.
"You can't blame yourself for wanting a life of your own, it will eat you up," It was his turn to have a pleading look in his eyes.
"And I will have a life of my own! ...it just has to be put on hold when I take my place back in The Family," I say, not as determined as I was at the start of the sentence.
"Ricki has gained so much power that he wont be willing to just it give up," he starts to say, "and you don't know where the loyalty of his men lie,"
"They were loyal to me once," I mumble
"yeah, once, the only person you can probably rely on right now is Guy," He points out.
At the mention of his name, I drop my gaze down to the sand between us. The last time I heard from him was that dreadful morning and I had no way of getting into contact with him- at least not without Anderson hassling me about it.
"Well I don't know that until I go and see for myself," I say, not wanting to have a conversation about him
Now it was Adam that showed his annoyance, huffing his breath out as he glanced away from me before returning with a smile, "I forgot how stubborn you were,"
"That's a mistake you shouldn't make," I chuckle and take a sip out of the glass bottle.
The amusement on his face faded and his expression became serious once again, "If this plan is a success then his men will lose faith in him as a leader, he'll be de-stabalised and only then will you have a chance,"
"And if the plan falls through?" I give him a serious look of my own.
He rolls his eyes at me, "Can't you just have a little sliver of faith?"
"I had faith that Ricki would be able to take care of The Family," I say before pushing my self up off of the sand, "and now I'm about to hold a gun to his face,"

Waking up before Aisha, I very gently shove her leg off of me to free myself out of the bed. She mumbles something before turning her body away from me, burying her head back into the pillow. I silently chuckle at her sleeping form before carrying on into the bathroom.
After taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth, I take a look at the wounds that I acquired. The lines on my hands have already scabbed over so I didn't need to bandage them anymore; The bruise on the left side of my forehead was a lighter shade of purple than it was yesterday and the tiny scratches from the shattered glass have scabbed as well. I then look at my stomach reflected onto the mirror, the stitches looking like I had a spider living on my skin- 2 spiders since I had the same stitches on the exit wound on my back. Dousing the spiders with rubbing alcohol, I instantly intake a sharp breath of air; the burning sensation flowing across my torso.
Powering through the pain, I pull open 2 medium-sized square plasters and place them accordingly on my body. I then tend to the wound in my arm,
