Alex, the hooded figure, drove with the radio on out to the mansion for his "work". His boss told him that Maya will be home unpacking as she has moved in with her fiance. Driving down the highway, he passes the cul de sac where the houses sit.

He wonders who moved in there and why. Alex took a quick glance to the side to check out the houses then took his attention back to the road. The next road to the right he flicked the signal light on. Accelerating around the corner, he drove down the rocky road. Turning down the radio, he stopped a bit away from the intersection hiding the car. Killing the engine the hooded figure got out of the car, locking it.

Jogging down to the home he stopped at the gate. Thinking of getting over Alex walked around the side. Since the fence is a lot shorter height from the front, Alex hopped onto the fence and started climbing. Dropping down from the top he entered the property. The white home is huge.

Hidden in the forest.

Walking up to the porch he cupped his hands on the window to get a better view inside. As he searched the home the best he could, the hooded figure then took out a bobby pin.

Fidgeting with the lock he finally got it opening the door creaked as it swung open. Closing it behind him Alex searched around being aware of his surroundings. Glancing over his shoulder ever so often to make sure he's alone.

Peeking around corners carefully checking to make sure the coast is clear. Scurrying to the living room he sees that she's watching the news. Distracted.

Perfect.

Creeping away from the living room Alex wasn't paying attention and accidently knocked into a table with a vase on it. His reflexes kicked in swooping down catching it. Glancing over his shoulder seeing Maya still distracted.

He quickly scolded himself and swore under his breath quietly. Placing the vase back carefully on the table, Alex ran up the stairs stepping each step quietly as a mouse.

Walking down the hallway opening and closing doors searching for their room. This time he didn't have his boss with him as he's busy with work. So Alex's all alone this time. Which is good so he can concentrate better without him yapping in his ear.

Searching through the doors Alex finally found the room. Slipping into the room, he closed the door behind him. Scurrying through the room being careful to not touch as many things and trashing the place.

Since he stole the ring last time hoping she didn't notice, he's going to steal something a bit better. With his eyes and ears open Alex searched frantically for something, anything.

Standing still in the middle of the room, the hooded figure heard a muzzled voice. Maya's coming this way. Spinning on his heel making his way to the bathroom. Alex hid behind the door listening to her on the phone.

If worst comes to worst he'd hide in the shower.

"I know, my grandmother gave me the ring. It's a blue sapphire ring . . . Yeah it's cool. Here's a fun fact, it was my grandmother's wedding ring . . . I know! She gave it to me once grandpa died . . . It's very special to me. Let me find it."

Between the door hinges and the wall Alex peeked through watching her finding the ring in her jewelry box. He could tell panic rising her as she scurries to find it in her box.

"It's not here," she whined.

"No . . . I had it right in the box. Where could it have gone?"

He can hear the cry in her voice as sheer panic rose in her tone. He felt bad that he had to do this to her, but to get that money to help his poor family since he's got kids. His breathing hitched when Maya stepped into the bathroom searching through the drawers and the phone up to her ear.

"I don't know where it is."

He could hear the muffle of the voice in the other end of the line. Taking his chances, he quietly and cautiously came out of hiding while staring her dead. Just as he walked out of the room, Maya lifted her head to look in the mirror then towards his direction.

With his reflexes, he moved to hide behind the wall. He waited five minutes before peeking around the corner to see she's distracted.

Taking his chances once again, the hooded figure slipped from his hiding place to the other side hoping he didn't get caught. Holding his breath, he made his way downstairs and running out into the living room. Finding her blanket laying on the couch with no hesitation, he grasped and ran out of the home.

On the way to the fence, he set the rose on the hood of her car. Jogging up to the fence throwing the blanket over the fence, he made his way over.

Running with the blanket in hand, he made it to his car. Throwing the blanket at the back, he got in and started the engine rolling away from the road to the mansion. Once he got on the road, he let out a breath of relief.

As close as he almost got caught Alex's very lucky to get out of their alive with the blanket and leaving a rose behind. The more he does it the more his boss wants to make it more difficult. He's already stalking and stealing from her.

As he drove back to his family, he thought of what to do next and what his boss will say.
