Owen and Lillian sat in the living room cuddling while watching Hockey. Owen laid on his girlfriend's lap feeling comfortable as she brushed through his dark locks. Cheering for the Oil Kings as one of them raced to the other side with the puck passing it to other teammates.

Then one of the players took the shot and made a goal.

"Yeah!" both of them screamed in excitement. A commercial came on and Owen got up from his position. "I'm going to the washroom real quick then get something to drink. Want anything?"

"No thanks hun."

Owen left her to do her own thing while she waited for him. Slipping into the bathroom, Owen unzipped his pants and did his business. Finishing up in the washroom he stared at himself in the mirror.

"Okay Owen, you can do this. Be a man and ask her." He gave himself a pep talk. He and Lillian have been together for four and a half years. They met at school and became friends almost instantly. Throughout their friendship, they began to develop feelings for each other. When they were nineteen, they became a couple and ever since they love each other unconditionally.

Now, he thinks it's final to want to spend the rest of his life with Lillian. He wants to propose to her but worried what she'll say.

"She loves you, you love her. Perfect. Now go and ask her."

With the ring in his pocket he left the bathroom going into the kitchen getting some iced water. Owen entered the living room taking a sip from his water before talking.

"Lillian?"

"Yeah Owen?"

"I have something I want to tell you."

"Go ahead."

He stood in front of her muting the TV then turning back to her clearing his throat. "Ever since I've met you . . . I've always loved you whether it was more than friends or not. Now that we are dating, I can't get enough of you. I love you more than anything in the world. You are great person to be around and I enjoy your company than ever."

Her face began to lighten up with a blush adna sweet smile.

"I love everything about you. Your smile, laughs, personality in general. How sweet you are. How you can light up the room within seconds, how you're always positive. You are a great woman that I've ever met . . . So I'm wondering if you'll do me the honour to make me the happiest man alive . . ."

Owen got down on one knee in front of her taking the silver ring with a silver jewel planted on top as it shimmers in the light. He brought it up to her smiling as she covered her mouth in shock.

"Will you marry me?"

Tears streamed down her beautiful face as she nodded. "Yes. Yes! A thousand yeses!"

Owen carefully put the ring on her ring finger. She admired it before throwing herself on top of him crying with tears of joy. She slammed her lips onto his and they kissed happily at the next chapter of their lives.

"I can't wait to tell everyone." She smiled as she talked. Owen secured her as he lay on one of his elbow on the ground beside the coffee table. "Do you like the ring?"

"Do I like it? I love it." Lillian admired it again.

"Thank goodness you like it. Not only that was my worry that you wouldn't like it, but I was afraid you'd say no."

"Of course I wouldn't. I was actually waiting for you to ask me."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah."

Lillian rested her forehead against his and smiled happily. Owen did the same and he felt the pain in his cheeks for smiling too much.

"Let's finish the hockey game than we can go do our own thing, shall we?"

"Yes."

Owen and Lillian got back on the couch with her snuggling beside him for the comfort she needs. Finishing up the game, both Owen and Lillian cheered that the Oil Kings won the game overall. Both are into Hockey which is good, plus both are into the Oil Kings. For their first date, Owen took them to the Oil Kings and they won.

Both love birds love the Oil Kings. Both having jerseys from their favourite teammate.

Once the game ended, Owen turned off the TV and made their way into their bedroom to do what they need to do.
