Stalking In The Night

Chapter twenty five

Marley and the others are on their way to kill for the night, then heading out for a walk with Maya. Marley couldn't wait as Carmin's plan was for those two plus Maya walk together through the forest getting to know one another. 

As Latch drove to the neighborhood, Marley and Carmin hushly talked on the ride. Seizure sat in the front with Latch. Gemar, Killian and Hellwood rested for the kill. It wasn't long when Latch pulled up a block to the house. Marley woke the three boys as he jumped out from the back of the truck. 

One block of walking they make it to their home to kill, Latch split them up. Sadly Marley is on guard tonight with Gemar and Seizure.

"So Loverboy, can't wait to see the love of your life tonight?" Gemar teased.

"First off, I'm no loverboy and second, yeah."

"So you agree with the 'love of your life'?" Seizure replies

"No." Marley defends.

"Oh but you did," Gemar teased. 

"I don't know what to do with you guys." Marley sighed. 

The two boys chuckled while fist bumping knowing they succeeded the small battle. Gemar inhaled on his cigar just as the four came out. They walked back to the truck getting ready for the walk with Maya, or more so Carmin and Marley. 

"So loverboy, what are you going to talk about with Maya?" Gemar asked loudly and proud so everyone in the back of the truck can hear.

"I told you I'm no loverboy. Plus I don't know what we're going to talk about. Carmin help me out here. You're also joining us."

"I know, but I'm enjoying this way more so I think I should let you and Maya go off on your own." Carmin grinned. 

"Oh god, someone help me," Marley mumbled resting his head in his hands. "You guys do realize that she's engage."

"We know." They said in unison. 

"Are you trying to hook us up?"

"No." they said in unison once again."

Marley's hunch is telling him that they are trying to get them together. But it's just a hunch, right? On the rest of the drive the boys kept teasing Marley about Maya. 

"Latch says she's meeting us at the forest so we don't have to worry about waking her," Hellwood says breaking the silence which fell over them a moment ago. 

"Good, we don't have to worry about getting caught," Killian points out. The boys nodded in understanding. Latch pulled up at the entrance on the path. They hopped out seeing Maya on her phone waiting for them. 

She glanced up from her phone tucking it in her back pocket. "Ready to go?" Latch asked.

"Yeah."

Carmin went up to grab Maya while the others started walking ahead. Marley caught up to them listening to their conversation. 

"So Maya, what have you been up to?" Carmin asked. 

"Just work. Busy at work."

"So nothing interesting."

"No." 

"My buddy here would really like to get to know you so I'm going to leave you guys together."

Carmin left the two together walking behind everyone. Silence rolled over them and not the good kind. "So . . . you want to get to know me?"

"Yeah."

"Well . . . what do you want to know?"

"I don't know." Marley thought real hard. "You're engaged right?"
