1 month later...

a month passed of the group hanging out in florida and it was time for the group to go back home. recap.

school; meanwhile they were there, the school had to go online because of the pandemic. the virus. the kids had to check in with the school and report that they were on vacation so they wouldn't be able to finish all the homework from online.

mattia; he got help from y/n every once in a while because of his family issues. his family got healthier but they argue every once in a while. mattia got used to the fact that he was growing up and he wouldn't have the same affection as when he was younger.

alejandro and jas; they had a great relationship. they would argue but quickly get over them. no one expected them to get together so soon but they did.

y/n's dad and mar's mom: they got close over the weeks and her dad would update her everyone once in a while about his love life and how well it was going.

y/n's mom: she eventually served time in jail for assault. although y/n wanted more, she didn't expect her mom to go to prison for life. that's not how it worked, it wouldn't be fair. even to y/n.

y/n and kairi: they would flirt extremely even while being out of the hotel with their friends and in front of strangers. they've been taking it slow, since they both got out of relationships that were difficult to not base off of with present relationships. it was hard for kairi, especially. ever since he had the dream he's been extra careful to communicate with y/n and give her the attention she deserves.

{the time had come. the group was going back to new jersey and kairi was going back to his sweet home. kairi missed his family but he knew he would see them everyday for a long period of time. y/n on the other hand, that was one of the only times he would probably see her until a while.}

while y/n was packing up, kairi was making tiktoks in the bathroom. y/n wanted to tell him to stop but, she knew he was stalling. she didn't want to leave kairi either but she couldn't stay in florida forever. she sighed and looked in the bathroom to see kairi doing a pov. he seemed sad.

"awee, turn that frown upside down." she told him as she pinched his cheeks. he giggled and grabbed his phone. "so what's your pov?" she asked him.

"before you ruined it?" kairi asked playfully. she pushed his head she they both laughed. "i don't knoww, it was just a sound and i was gonna put it in my drafts but the pov might as well be 'my babe leaves to go back home' ya know?" he told her. she pouted and grabbed his phone.

"how abouttt, no. cmon, you gotta pack to go back home as well. you'll have thisss, when you're ready." y/n dangled kairi's phone in the air. he flinched at y/n almost dropping it. he groaned and started to pack with y/n.

after a few minutes of packing, kairi noticed that y/n was in the bathroom. he tiptoed to the tv stand and went to grab his phone. he grinned and turned it on. all of a sudden, his phone gets snatched from his hands.

"babe, pack." y/n told kairi. kairi kept groaning while packing but y/n ignored it by sighing as well. eventually he stopped and
y/n sighed from happiness. she was starting to get annoyed. (;

kairi and y/n headed to the hallway and met with the group after they finished packing. they all didn't talk because it was early in the morning and they were tired. they would've chosen a later time but they needed to get home early to finish the work they hadn't done. they walked downstairs to the front desk to get checked out and left the hotel building. they all put their bags in the back and they tried to fit in the front of the car. kairi was gonna drive home but y/n wanted to go home with him to kind of drop him off.

"here we are." kairi said. he opened the door and ran to y/n's side to open her door as well. she giggled and thanked him. the group parked by the gas station so that they could grab some snacks. kairi and y/n walked into his house and were greeted by a little girl.

"hii, kairi. mom went to the store with dad." the little girl said to him. he nodded and she gasped when she saw the girl next to him. "are you y/n?" she asked. y/n was taken by surprised and looked at kairi to see him blushing. he tried to shush the girl but the girl escaped from his reach.

"yes i am, i'm hoping he talked good?" she said. the little girl nodded and laughed. "and who is this beautiful girl that stands in front of me?" y/n asks.

"i'm maiya! nice to meet you." maiya exclaimed.

"nice to meet you too." y/n said to her happily. maiya spread open her arms and y/n was taken by surprise again, she hadn't expected her to like her. she simply pulled her into a hug. the little girl, maiya, ran upstairs to talk with a friend and kairi and y/n stood by the door. they didn't speak. they were afraid to dismiss themselves.

"we'll see each other soon. who says we can't do a long distance?" kairi said.

"not us!!" y/n said. they both laughed but the laughter slowly faded as they both knew they would have to deal with the distance for a long while.

"can i just say, you've made this pass month amazing. who would've known i'd meet such an amazing girl that would appreciate every little bit of me and not even care about the fame." kairi said to her. she half smiled and her eyes fluttered trying to keep back the tears.

"you made my month unbelievable, kairi cosentino. you made me believe that not all men are horrible." she said. they both giggled. "you made me realize that people sweet like you, are out there. you made me feel so much more comfortable about talking about jayden knowing you'll be there for me." she said to him. they both ran into each other's arms. they stayed in like that for a while before they heard a beep outside.

"those dibshits are getting impatient." kairi giggled. y/n lightly pushed his arm and laughed. she kissed him once last time as well as kairi.

"let's not make this 'goodbye' seem like the last time we'll see each other." she said to him. he nodded and pulled away from the hug.

y/n had finally left kairi's house and she would feel her eyes heating up. she wanted to cry just because he was such an amazing guy. she realized that the group had left the gas station and parked outside his house for a while when she saw jas sleeping in the driver's seat. she knocked on the window and they jumped. jas unlocked the door and she opened the door from the inside to let y/n in.

"everything okay?" jas asked. y/n nodded and smiled. "okayy. guys, we're going home!" jas said unenthusiastically. y/n laughed at the boys groaning after jas woke them up by her yelling.
