I will officially be putting Y/N in the beginning of chapters, thank you for your cooperation.
Y/N
It's odd how people say your life flashes before your eyes in a near death situation.
Because in my case, while almost being smashed under a beast's ginormous paw, I saw blue.
Maybe because the person in front of me, fighting off the huge beast, is wearing blue.
"Y/n!" A faded voice called, and then numerous footsteps followed close behind.
I wiggled my way away from the danger before turning around.
Before I could fully turn, I was tackled by something pink, the scent of strawberries wafted through my nose before we stumbled.
"Noi..?" I whispered, reaching my hand up and ruffling his hair, there was the sound of numerous swords being taken out of their holders.
I glanced at the source of noise, the boys had all taken form around the beast, seemingly caging it.
Their eyes had darkened significantly, and they seemed to give off a murderous aura.
I flinched back at the feeling.
Noi hugged me again, turning my attention back to him.
"I'm sorry I didn't go out to fight, we had a situation on our way here, and my sword snapped." His eyes darkened before turning back.
I turned to Ava, walking with a slight limp, I tried to cover it as much as possible, I let the tears start running down my face from pain and the joy of being alive.
She ran to me, taking me into a hug.
I felt comforted and safe in her embrace.
I sobbed into her shoulder, "A-Ava, we're-" she shushed me softly,
"It's okay, we're okay, shh," She stood strong as I completely fell apart, I heard growls from behind me, my face flushed red at the realization that I'm vulnerable.
I look weak.
In front of everyone.
I straightened my back, my body still trembling, I wiped away my tears and turned around.
I have them the best smile I could muster, it probably looked pained because they all didn't seem convinced that I'm fine.
"Are you hurt," Pierce asked comfortingly, I flinched as Lief narrowed his eyes on my ankle, before looking up into my eyes.
"N-no, I'm f-fine," I lied, diverting my eyes away from Leif's, trying to hide my right ankle behind my left one.
Asch furrowed his eyebrows before taking authoritative steps towards me, I gulped.
"You're injured," he concluded, tapping my ankle with his foot, I let out a cry as I fell to the floor.
Fresh tears ran their way down my face, I turned my head away from all of them.
"Don't look at me." I begged quietly, out of the corner of my eyes I saw them look confused,
"Why?" Noi asked, I shook my head,
"T-turn around! Please!" I cried, I mentally hit myself.
As they all turned around I let out a shaky breath, "I'm weak, I hate that about m-me, I hate that I always need need one of you guys to c-come and rescue me, I- I hate looking weak in front of you," I glared down at myself,
I heard laughter, I looked up at them, they all had small smiles on their faces as Asch bellowed out his laughter.
I narrowed my eyes, he shook his head, "As long as you're alive," He started,
"You're both ours to protect." The rest finished, my eyes widened, I looked at Ava.
She seemed happy, "Count me in on that, I'll protect you too," she smiled cheekily, I shook my head,
"B-but I want to help you guys too." I said with determination, Ava giggled before walking to me, she ruffled my hair,
"You being you is more than enough for us." She smiled, I blushed.
"That's cheesy," I stuck my tongue out at her, she rolled her eyes before shooting a look at the boys,
"Leif, attempt to heal her," Asch demanded, Leif smirked as he strutted towards me with his hands glowing a blinding white.
He kneeled in front of my foot and hovered his hands over it, he seemed concentrated.
I slowly felt the pain slithering away, I gasped at the weird feeling.
The light died down, he seemed to be sweating.
I reached my hand to his forehead and wiped it away, "Are you okay?" I asked him, he scoffed,
"Of course!" He smirked before standing up.
That's when I noticed it.
Prominent and proud.
A very exposing outfit.
I laughed, my face turning bright red.
"A-Ava! L-look!" I choked from laughing, she seemed confused, before looking at all the boys, and turning bright red.
"Why are you guys wearing speedos?" She asked, seemingly traumatized by the display.
"What?" Rhys asked looking down at himself.
"What are these speed-os you speak of?" Asch asked with suspicion.
I pointed at his clothing, "What you're wearing! Where d-did you guys get those!"
"From the closet! We only got this much put on before we felt your distress call!" Noi cheered, I blushed at the display of beautiful men.
"Cover your eyes, Y/n!" Ava cried, I bursted out into another fit of laughter,
"We should get moving now, we've spent an inordinate amount of time fooling around!" Asch growled, but I just couldn't take him seriously in his current state.
"We should get you all into some clothes first." I grinned, Ava held out her hand for me to take, which I obliged.
"Thank you guys, for being there," I smiled, "You really are my knights in shining speedos," I giggled,
Ava whacked my arm lightly, "Stop at this point I'll die from laughter!" She threw her head back.
And so our journey started.
