Something came back to me, something Ava and I had forgotten.

"So, Zex." I said out loud, everyone visibly tensed, I felt Pierce's muscles tense underneath me.

"I forgot for a moment, but don't worry, I remember now." I spoke with disappointment.

"I just want you guys to know, I'm not angry anymore." I felt a wave of relief flood the caverns.

"I'm just disappointed." A new emotion filled the silent caves, guilt.

"Care to explain?" I asked softly, I saw Rhys move to say something, so I focused my attention on him.

"Daemos' source of magic does indeed run on human souls." I flinched at the thought, I felt Pierce tighten his grip on me.

"We were sent to Earth to collect humans for reproduction here, to keep the magic running." He paused momentarily,

"You both were on our original list of candidates." I felt tears trickling down my face, causing Pierce to stop walking.

The others followed in suit.

"B-bastards, you bastards! So everything was j- just an act? All my feelings- they mean nothing to you?" My tears were endless, I glared at Asch, who was still holding Ava in his embrace, she hadn't woke up from her slumber, surprisingly.

"You've got it wrong!" Rhys's voice echoed loudly, causing me to flinch back, Pierce placed me down on my feet again. "W-we didn't expect to get..." he mumbled the last part, so I couldn't understand,

"Didn't expect to what? Get caught?" I scoffed as I wiped my tears.

"We didn't expect to get attached to any humans!" Noi exclaimed loudly.

"We've only ever known war, death and hatred, a constant battle to live another day." Leif continued, looking down.

"B-but when we got to earth and met you and Ava, everything changed, you guys weren't what we expected at all! We didn't think you'd trust us- o-or even look after us." Noi spoke again, Ava moved on Asch's back, informing me that she's awake, for how long?

Probably long enough.

"You May be humans... but you're our humans." Asch finished, my eyes widened.

He didn't call us prisoners?

"We don't want any harm to come to either of you, we don't want you guys to suffer like how we have." Rhys spoke sincerely, I shook in my place.

"I- you guys..." I sobbed, trying to wipe away my tears, but to no avail, they're continuous.

I stumbled my way over to the group engulfing them in a hug, they all tensed at the sudden action, but soon melted into it.

"Y/n... I don't want you to get hurt, ever." Noi said softly, until he backed away and put his hands on my shoulders, "No! I won't let you get hurt! I promise!" I grinned goofily before throwing myself at him again, my hands wrapping around his neck, and my legs being wrapped around his waist.

"Thank you, my knight," I sighed softly in the crook of his neck.

"H-hey, we swore the same thing earlier!" Asch growled, I laughed at his jealousy.

I got off of Noi and walked to Asch, he backed away a bit, "What do you think you're doing?" He asked defensively, I smirked evilly.

"You can't escape my hugs~!" I laughed, chasing him around.

"Ava stop him!" I shouted, I heard a soft chuckle erupt from behind Asch.

"My time to shine!" She exclaimed, pulling back on him, making him stop in his tracks.

I laughed happily, before tackling them both into a hug.

"W-what kind of t-torture is this?!" Asch growled, I laughed loudly.

"You know you like our hugs, you big grump." Ava defended, before pulling him back up on his feet.

"Whatever." He said quietly, "And since when were you awakened from your slumber?!" He growled, Ava laughed, "Since like, the beginning of the conversation."

I snickered by her side, "That's Ava for you." I said proudly, she shook her head, turning around.

I looked back at the other boys, giving them all a grin.

"Don't think I forgot about you two." I said mischievously.

Leif and Rhys widened their eyes.

Well, more so Leif.

I went after Rhys first, I jumped into his arms, trusting him to catch me, which he did.

"Thanks for catching me, Rhys~" I heard him cough, "It's nothing."

I smiled before backing away, I fixed his hair and turned to Leif.

He growled at me, "Nu-uh, no way." He shook his head, I wiggled my eyebrows, "Come here, Leif~" I called.

"No!" He yelped, as I launched myself at him, his arms instinctively wrapped around my waist.

We were both sent flying to the ground, my back landed softly on the ground, until Leif landed on top of me, "aCk-" the wind poofed out of my body, Leif had his legs planted on the sides of mine, and his arms on either side of my head.

I giggled at his reddened face, "Leif, you're so cool," I commented, his face turned brighter red, my eyes widened, "Are you... okay?" I asked worriedly.

I heard a low growl emit from behind Leif.

I yelped in surprise as I was lifted into the air.

I looked up at Pierce, his eyes had clouded over with an emotion I couldn't quite place.

"P-Pierce?" I asked quietly, quickly wrapping my legs around his waist in order to not fall.

I saw his face soften at the action, I tilted my head, "A-are you okay?" I watched him huff and look at Leif,

"Hands off." That's all he said as he walked away, with me still on his chest.

"I-uh-" I shifted on his stomach, his eyes snapped down to look at me, he ruffled my hair before holding me tightly so I wouldn't fall off of him.

"A-Ava-" I looked over at her, she smirked evilly before cutting me off.

"Nu-uh don't even try." She wiggled her eyes suggestively.

I choked on air, "A-Ava n-no!" I said my face flushing a dark shade of red, she shrugged her shoulders before being picked up by Asch.

I laughed at the scene, she looked over at me, "Nope," I shook my head.

"B-but-" I cut her off,

"Nope, say goodbye~" I smirked as Asch put her back on his back, with her blushing madly at the feeling of his bare skin on hers.

Which reminds me...

I looked in front of me, only to see Pierce's chest staring right back at me.

"Y/n?" Pierce asked from above me, I shrieked, I totally just got caught staring at his body-

"I wasn't- I swear! I'm just uh- tired! Y-yeah reaally tired, so uh, bye now!" I quickly nuzzled myself into his chest with pure embarrassment.

Why does this have to happen to me?

I felt his grip tighten on me, I sighed softly.

I guess it's not that bad, having someone to protect you.

I smiled softly at the thought.
