Finally, after a few months and many weeks since Kakyoin coming back, everything seemed to be back to normal. Besides your newly developed ability, which was much easier to get used to than you thought it would have been, your life returned to that of a typical third year high schooler once again. You attended your classes as usual, ate lunch with your best friend (and Jotaro), and - against your will - studied while you were at home.

Having Crybaby around now was actually pretty nice. Whenever you were feeling lonely, you were able to call her out and have conversations with her; although, it was mostly you talking to her since she didn't have any experiences besides the ones she shared with you. That part was a little eerie to you: to think that your stand had her own voice and sentience, yet she only truly existed when she was standing next to you. You tried not to think about it much, simply enjoying the company she provided when you forced yourself to study for college exams in the future.

Kakyoin was the same as ever, ranting about a new video game he bought to you and Jotaro as the three of you ate your lunches together. Recently, it had become common for your friend's taller bodyguard to tag along during lunch hour, yet he never brought a lunch of his own. Considering how nice his mother was, you thought it was weird he never brought any food with him, but you decided against prying. Even if you did ask, there was a small chance Jotaro would tell you anything. His presence no longer caused an annoyance for you, the silence he often held making being around him more tolerable.

"Hey Jojo," Kakyoin stopped mid rant, his eyes trained on the empty space in front of Jotaro. "Why do you never bring anything to eat for lunch? There's no way your mother let's you leave the house without knowing you'll have something to eat later."

If you hadn't been paying attention, you would have missed the way Jotaro's shoulders tensed for a split second before sinking down again. His physical response caught your attention, and you picked up on the way the tall teen instinctually rested his hand over his stomach.

"I just tell her I'll buy something at school so she doesn't bug me about it," Jotaro shrugged, clearly trying to drop the subject as quickly as possible. It was odd, to say the least. Why was he so worried about his mom making him lunch? Knowing Mrs. Kujo, she was probably the type to make cutesy lunches for her family, so maybe he was just embarrassed to carry that around school? Was it really just a matter of him not wanting to ruin his bad boy exterior? What a stupid reason to skip out on lunch for.

"Why don't you buy food then? Everyone's practically starving by the time lunch rolls around, there's no way you aren't as well." Kakyoin furrowed his brows slightly, concerned at his friend's bad eating habit. A part of you wished he would look at you the same way, and your heart fluttered at the thought.

"Even if I do get hungry, I usually don't have an appetite to eat anything. I haven't really had one since we got back from Egypt." A hint of sadness flashed through Jotaro's eyes before being replaced by the same stone cold stare he usually wore.

Something inside you flipped at the mention of Egypt, and suddenly you were determined to get Jotaro to actually eat something at lunch from now on. Maybe it was because you thought being nicer to him would coax him into telling you more about what really went down on their trip, or maybe it was just the urge to dispel the sadness you felt lingering in his heart. Either way, you acted before you even had the chance to think.

"You can finish my lunch if you want. It's not good to eat so little throughout the day, especially for someone as big as you." You pushed your bento box in front of Jotaro, taking the time to wipe the chopsticks you had been using on a napkin before sticking them upright in your rice.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Jotaro growled.

"Chill dumbass, it's not an insult. I'm just saying that you're largely built and if you stop eating you're going to lose all your muscle and turn into a twig, and as funny as that would be to see I'd feel guilty if I didn't at least try to stop it from happening."

Jotaro huffed angrily, his eyes shifting between you and the food before him. You could basically see the internal struggle of his brain, his urge to eat something battling with his stubbornness of not wanting to accept help from you. You rolled your eyes, getting on your hands and knees and crawling closer to Jotaro. You snatched up the chopsticks, picking up a piece of chicken along with a bit of rice.

"Eat the damn food, my mom made it so it's not poisoned." You held the food up to Jotaro's mouth, impatiently waiting for him to accept your offer. Your temper slowly started to flare as he just glared at you, unmoving. Your throat tensed in anger as you leaned back into your heels, using your now free hand to grip Jotaro's face tightly. Squeezing his face in a way that forced his mouth open, you slipped the food in, a triumphant smile overtaking your face.

Jotaro pushed you away, making you fly backwards and land on your ass, flashing Jotaro in the process. Your face flushed a brilliant red as you yanked you skirt down. "I was trying to be nice you asshole!" You screamed, all feelings of wanting to help vanishing from your mind.

Jotaro finished chewing before responding. "I didn't ask for your help you damn slut. Keep your panties to yourself."

"It's your fault for pushing me over! As if I'd ever willingly let you look at my underwear! Not in a million years! You know what, I change my mind. Give me my lunch back, you don't deserve it!"

You reached out for your bento box but Jotaro pulled it away from your grasp. Fuse fully lit now, you were seconds away from getting into a fist fight with the boy before you. That was, before you noticed the light shade of pink that dusted his cheeks and nose. You were sure you had seen Jotaro blush before, but never as clearly as he was now. He pulled his hat down to hide it, but you had already seen it.

Your heart had already skipped a beat.

"I'm sorry I pushed you over," Jotaro mumbled out, words barely understandable. "I didn't realize how hungry I was until now, so let me finish your food."

"Whatever," you scoffed, moving back over to your original spot next to Kakyoin. You turned to complain about Jotaro to him, but your words faltered when you noticed him staring at you with wide eyes. You were glad your face was still red from accidentally flashing Jotaro, otherwise Kakyoin would have certainly caught on to your nervousness. Too flustered to question his confused expression, you shied away from your friend, instead opting out for staring at the clouds and trying to find shapes among them.

Unbeknownst to you and Jotaro, Kakyoin had been watching your entire interaction in awe. It was the first time he had seen you guys get along somewhat of your own accord. He didn't have to scold Jotaro for being a jerk, and he didn't have to insist that you do something nice for the hungry boy. This was the moment he had been pushing onto you two, yet he almost didn't believe it was happening despite seeing it with his own eyes. The strangest thing though, was the slight twinge he felt in his heart upon seeing you so close to Jotaro.

Ever since he came back, all Kakyoin wanted was for you and Jotaro to get along without him having to act like a mediator, so why was a part of him wishing you had kept your lunch for yourself?
