Serenity's 3-month appointment

3 months later

Cheryl dressed Serenity in a few plain one-piece T-shirt then put purple leggings on her.

Levi enters the room, dressed for school.

"Mama said that you were making breakfast this morning." Levi said.

Cheryl always made breakfast for the first day of school. "Okay, Honey. Let me just dress, rinty." Cheryl said, putting small socks on the girl.

Serenity opened her eyes, yawning tiredly.

"Good morning, beautiful." Cheryl smiled, picking her up before grabbing Levi's had as they walked out of the bedroom.

Cheryl entered the kitchen, placing Serenity in her high chair before going over to the stove.

"We only have time for pancakes and eggs." Cheryl explained.

"Okay." Leilani yawned.

"Princess? Why do you look so tired?" Toni asked as she did the girl's ponytail.

She looked over at her brother who shook his head.

So, the big sister she was, "While Levi was asleep I was up looking at my favorite picture book." Leilani lied.

Toni looked between them skeptically, raising her eyebrow.

"Leilani Ocean Topaz, Tell the truth this minute." Cheryl said,  glaring at her.

"Fine." The girl mumbled. "Levi and I stayed up late watching wonder pets."

Cheryl sighed, facepalming herself. "Guys, Sleep is crucial. You have 7 hours of school." Cheryl said, bringing the food to the table.

"Sorry, mom." Both kids mumbled, digging into their food.

"It's okay, as long as you don't do it again." Cheryl sighed, picking up Serenity to give her the bottle.

"Okay." They said, continuing to eat their breakfast.

"10 pounds 12 ounces."  The nurse smiled as she weighed Serenity, who was taking it extremely well.

"Wow, She gained 2 pounds." Toni smiled, holding Cheryl's hand.

"Yep. That's great. Most baby's only gain about 1 pound or less." She nodded.

She proceeds to check her ears, making sure she can hear.

"Hearing is great. Gums are looking fine. Very healthy heartbeat. Her breathing is good, the same as her eyes. She's good too go." Doctor Lily smiled.

"Also, it's a good time to start doing tummy time. It'll build her upper body strength." She smiles, letting Cheryl pick the girl up.

"Thanks, Lily." Toni smiled, helping Cheryl out of the room.

"I have a new teacher. And Levi isn't in my class." Leilani frowned.

"Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, Baby." Toni frowned.

Cheryl was sleeping when the kids let out of school, so Toni picked them up.

"Yeah, but I see him at lunch." She added with a smile.

"That's great. What about you, Levi?" Toni asked.

"My day was okay. I have a new friend named Tristan. He's super cool and loves all the things I like." Levi smiled.

"So cool." Toni chuckled, parking in front of the pizza spot.
