Lucy is missing.

I frowned as the thought crossed my mind. I shook my head just as I dusted off the dirt on the butt portion of my low waist riding jeans. If I know... Lucy is just somewhere. Just a piece of heaven.

"So?" I spotted my fingernails as if something was remiss.

"She's your friend. You should be worried. And damn, you shouldn't be here. Alone. Your father's not been dead for a day."

"Don't play the role of a big brother Rave. It doesn't suit you." He planted his hands on both sides of his hips.

"Fine. I never wanted you to be my sister anyway. You know that."

I cleared my throat and smiled at him. "I miss you Rave." I came nearer... so close our bodies were flashed together. I tiptoed just to level with his eyes. I saw him raised his right eyebrow. I traced my finger down his jawline slowly. "Don't you think of me... every night that I wasn't in your arms?" My voice was sultry. I angled my face toward his. I saw the flicker of doubt and uncertainty in his eyes. "Don't you wish... that we could spend every waking minute making—"

I could see the leap of desire written all over Rave's face. It was masked. But his eyes...

He bent his head and before he could snake his arms around me I had kicked him but good in up there. "Awww." He's really good at cursing. I smiled at him and shrugged. I ran to the parking lot only to find my car missing. Gone. Damn. "Rave..." Had he towed...

"You're not going to get away from me Maire." He said hoarsely while clutching his front.

"Try me." He was limping after me as I was laughing demonically at seeing the irritation on his face. A car stopped on my side. I frowned.

"Hop in."

"Riel?"

"Maire!" I waved at Rave while he was regaining his footings.

"Anyway... it's making amends Rave. Not whatever you think. I can see your true color now. It's green, darling." I shouted through the window while the car was driving out of there.

I closed my eyes and regained my breathing. I hadn't thought I was holding it.

"Are you okay? You shouldn't trust Rave, you know." I looked at Riel whose eyes remained on the road.

"I'm okay." He touched my cheek. I flinched a little. I tried not to but I didn't like to offend him. He was with me through the ordeal with my father's wake and burial. I hang on to Riel's love for me. I sighed. So I'm a user now huh? And my father's a pusher.

"Why not? He's your friend."

"He's not. Just... an acquaintance."

"Oh I see." I didn't know how I see it.

"Lucy's been missing." He stared at me with intent. "I doubt it."

"What do you mean? His father has called the police."

"Police? That's surely... serious." I thought she'd already broken up with Brix?

"She's been gone for..." He sighed. "Since the day she's talked to you." That got my attention. Lucy might be missing for a day. But not for how many days. It's out of her character to just vanish into thin air without contacting her parents first. I knew her that much. "Left without a trace." Riel whispered.

I felt my hands started sweating coldly. I heard my mobile phone ringing.

"Hello?" Riel frowned at me.

"If you want Lucy, you have to come here, alone. Chop chop." End of conversation. Chop chop meaning pronto. Whatever.I tried to mask my expression from Riel. I did not even mention the name of Brix aloud. Why do I have to come to his house? I always believe that three is a crowd.
