I drove home to get some rest, I couldn’t shake her from my mind, If anyone would have asked me about love I would have said.
DUDE; Don’t even think about that, that’s the worst kind of thing.
And here I am, I don’t know if I’m in love with her or not but I cared about her and I can’t leave her alone that’s for sure. People might say I’m crazy but.. Yeah, maybe I’m!  but what can I do for that?
I’m not trying to give her any kind of comfort or sympathy because I know she hates that. It’s just that I have never seen anyone like her. I want to know everything about her, but Firstly, I want to know her!
And If she’ll let me in, things will get easy, but the thing is that it’s not that easy as it seems. And her silence always feels like the calm before storm.
I’ll see about that, I promise myself and now it’s my obsession to have her with me, in my life.
I called dean,
“ Hey Dean, Do you know who’s Dr. Phill in the New York” I enquired.
“ Ethan, There are so many Dr. Phill in the entire state of New York, which one are you looking for?”
“ Um_ Whoever is the therapist like who helps you too.”
“ I got it, But why suddenly you need to see him?” He cut me in mid-sentence.
“ I’ll tell you about that after, first find him,” I said with authority.
“ Hang on, I knew one Dr. Phill, he’s practicing near sixth Avenue and he’s Psych therapist,” That’s it! I hang up and googled him immediately. Hnn studied in Kolkata that makes sense. I guess I knew who he is!
I leaned against her door frame exactly on time, I need to see him too just for another purpose there’s no single picture of him on his website.
Surely, she doesn’t have any idea about him either and I will not take any risk, besides I know it’ll be difficult for her today and I don’t want to leave her side.
I heard hustle noises from inside her apartment, A few minutes later her door burst open. She didn’t instantly see me, as she’s on phone speaking with someone.
“ Yes. Navin don’t worry I’m really fine!” She said to someone.
It’s Navin, her friend! SHIT It’s him. She turned around and her eyes glued with mine. They were saying so many words. And the first time from all these days. I see something I haven’t seen earlier.
I nod my head in acknowledgment and she did the same.
“ Yes, of course, I’ll visit but not this early” Was she thinking about visiting India? I closed my eyes hearing those words out. I can hear my heart pounding in my ear and I’m scared at that, What if she’ll change her mind about coming back? Hell No! She won’t do that, That’s not happening! Not unless I’ll go with her and take her back in here.
She hangs up her phone and gives me those looks, Damn I managed to suppress my smile.
“ Ethan, it’s really nearby from here why you are here? you aren’t going back from your word, Are you?” She said defeated.
“ I know it’s near and Yes it’s me!” She rolled her eyes and I laughed.
“ By the way, How do you know it’s near from here?” She inquired as we headed towards the lobby, Thankfully her apartment is on the first floor,  otherwise, I don’t want to think about what would have happened. If it has a lift and she’ll have to use that.
“ I have my ways!” I smirked and open the door for her.
She mumbled something under her breath like, of course, you have.
She was staring outside, again!, I can’t read her mind, I don’t know what she’s thinking. I wanted to ask her what Navin said and what she’s thinking, but I couldn’t.
I don’t know how much time I have to wait to ask her everything I needed to know; There are so many questions bothering me.  But pain needs to heal and she needs time! That’s all! And I’ll give that to her as long as she wants. I hope we’ll not end up like other ones who has poles apart love stories. Because that will be the worst. And I don’t want to be without her. I’ll do anything to make sure about that thing.
“ You okay?” I broke that thick silence as we rode towards Dr. Phill.
“ I guess,” She gulped and nod
“ Ishita you are not alone in here!” I assured her and squeezed her hand. This time she didn’t flinch nor she pulls her hand away from my grasp.
We drive there with silence and stopped in front of his building.
“ You ready,” I asked her again, she nods. I opened her door.
“ Thank you, But you know you didn’t have to do that,” She said, she is behaving rationally cold. I shook my head and smiled, she’s really impossible.
“ I’ll see you on Monday then,” She told me, WAIT!!  is she thinking I’ll leave her alone in here, No way!
“ No, I’ll walk with you in there and then will see after your session,” I said
“ Ethan!, She gasped, “No please! go home I’ll be fine, I don’t want to be a burden on you” Now she is being unreasonable.
Burden!! Does she think that she’s a burden on me?
“ Ishita, No! you are not a burden on me and not to anyone, don’t think like that and it’s not up for any arguments. I’m staying.” I said and looked into her eye’s so she’ll know I wasn’t joking around.
She shakes her head and looks down. I really hate this look on her!
We walk in there and asked the receptionist for him, she said he’ll be here in a few minutes.
We sat there silently. I know she is nervous and I need to diffuse this silence, I bumped her shoulder with mine and smirk.
“ What so funny?” She inquired
“ What if your so-called therapist Dr. Phill will be handsome and he’ll flirt with you again as he’s been flirting with you on the phone, will you see him again then, you know; If he’ll do anything like that,” She looked at with wide eyes, As I try to lighten the mood, God her face is priceless!
“ Well, It doesn’t matter if he’s handsome or not and speaking of his flirting, It’ll be fine as long as it’s healthy, Otherwise, I have my way’s to damage him impossibly,” She smirked back.
Ouch, Man!! That hurts, I burst out into a fit of laughter, She’s such a badass!
“ You must be Ishita!” Someone called her name from behind and we both turned around to find him, We both looked at each other and burst out into laughter, Well he’s safe from Ishita and I’m from him. He looks like he’s in his late forties like my dad.
“ Am I missing something in here?” He inquired and we shook our heads immediately.
“ Yes, Dr. Phill. I’m Ishita”  She stood up and extends her hand, he hugged her instead of that, she’s completely taken aback from his sudden expression though.
“ Oh beautiful, It’s not up for formalities,” He said to her.
His gaze finds me and he smiled in acknowledgment. And this is the first time we came face to face.
It was him, My Dr. There was only one way to keep these secrets, She wouldn’t have agreed if I asked and take her in here. I’ve had my investigator to know the information, who’s Dr. Rutuja, behind Ishita's story. And that’s what I did then, I called her and gave her Dr. Phill number, and fortunately, she agreed to that and the best part was they knew each other. God is with me through this.  
This time he extends his hands towards me, “Dr. Phill,” He said with a firm voice. As if he doesn’t know Who Am I! 
“ Hi Dr. Phill, I’m Ethan Nicole”
“ Oh Nicole’s Enterprises,” He said and I smiled.
“ Well, Say bye, to your beautiful;  She’ll see you in an hour or two” He announced. His words sting to my heart “ My beautiful”.
She didn’t seem to notice those words. I take steps toward her and looked into her eyes.
“ I’ll be here”...Every time! I skip that last word obviously and promised her. I watched her leave with him and it felt like she’s going away from me.
God, it’s so painful!!
