That Was Eventful

Amajiki started to look worried but Kimi soon appeared floating onto the roof too "I'm here, thanks for saving me too!" she grumbled moodily.
He forgot her!?
"I-I..." he stuttered, he looked like he felt awful, although I felt a little happy that he had chosen to help me.
But also, what happened!? How didn't I notice? Was I so focused on my emotions that I didn't sense anything?

"h-he probably helped me because you also have wings?" I suggested not wanting her to be angry with him.
She rolled her eyes "you're supposed to help me! I'm your girlfriend!" she stared at him intensely.
I furrowed my brows, I definitely didn't appreciate her shouting at him "but... what happened?, shouldn't we go help?" I asked inching myself to the edge of the building to look down at the smoke rising, I felt dizzy just attempting to look down from this height.
"two cars crashed, there's already people helping" Kimi glared at me.
"b-but they might need more help down there?" I worried feeling more anxious that there were now possible serious injuries.
"you can help but I'm leaving" Kimi spread her wings out before leaping off the building.
I stood there in shock, what the hell!?

I turned to amajiki "s-sorry, could you help me down" I asked nervously.
He looked visibly upset "sure... Sorry" he sighed as he came closer, how were we going to go about this?
"what for?" I questioned confused as he towered over me looking out to the distance.
"kimi, s-shes... I don't know, I forgot about her, I just wanted to help you" he put his head down, my heart raced, he really did forget about her.
I pulled him into me quickly as I noticed he was shaking, I tiptoed a little as we hugged softly.
"don't worry, I-I'm sorry for causing an argument... Thank you for saving me though" I blushed into his chest.
I pulled away a little to look up at his face.
"I-I'm a bad boyfriend" he let go to cover his face, my heart ached.
"you're not! You're caring, sweet and sensitive... I don't think she understands you very well, I also don't think she treats you right!" I began to get angry.
"no, no I deserve it" he looked back at me as I shook my head quickly.
"no way! A girlfriend is supposed to be supportive and not shout at you in these stressful situations, you just saved me because I was stupid and couldn't escape... I - I should have noticed but I didn't, I didn't sense anything" I sighed a little.

"I-I don't know what to do" he sighed.
"about... Kimi?" I asked unsure but slightly hoping he didn't actually like her, I felt awful for being so selfish.
He blushed a little and looked away "y-yeah, let's just go help out" he put his arms out to me as I remembered the crash.
"o-oh yeah" I blushed embarrassed.
How were we going to do this? I couldn't get onto his back because I would restrict his wing movements, I'd have to let him carry me.

"erm, jump up and I'll carry you" Amajiki offered blushing a little.
I blushed back, there was no other way to get off this roof so I didn't have a choice.
I placed my hands onto his shoulders and used my feet to push off the ground and hop up and wrap my legs around his waist as I held onto his shoulders.
He placed his hands around my thighs and spread out his soft looking wings, his fingers felt so delicate on my thighs.
I looked up into his eyes nervously "s-sorry" I whispered feeling heavy and like a burden to him.
He stared back "I'm sorry... Is this OK?" he looked down towards his hands placed around my thighs.
I blushed quickly and nodded, it felt nice.
"I... Erm, let's just go" he shook his head quickly as I placed my head against his shoulder.
He lifted off of the ground gracefully and started to fly as I gripped onto him tighter causing our bodies to press closer together, I hid my red cheeks away as I buried my face deeper into him scared to look down.

I started to shake a little as the cold air brushed against my body and through my hair.
We soon reached the ground and I quickly hopped off Amajiki still red in the cheeks but missing the warmth that was radiating from his body.
"l-lets go see if they need any help" I quickly but shakily jogged over to the crash.
The flames were being put out by a hose hero and there were now heroes helping out the victims of the crash.
We offered our help and asked if nearby people were OK.
"oh my gosh! It's you, you're OK" an older lady stumbled to me as a hero called after her, she was bleeding a little.
I looked at her confused, did she know me?.
"I thought I was going to hit you! I thought I'd killed you! I'm so glad this young man saved you" she shook our hands quickly beginning to cry.
Wow, I really didnt realise it but she could have possibly hit me and killed me if it wasn't for Amajiki, and he must have moved super quickly... Id have to thank him somehow.
We spoke to her for a little while trying to help her keep calm as the hero that was taking care of her pulled he back to check her over as she was still bleeding from the collision.

We helped out as much as we could but soon left the scene and got on the train back after retrieving my dropped bag.
We were silent the whole train journey.
We stepped off the train and began to walk back to the dorms, I tugged on Amajikis arm making him turn to me as we were just outside the dorms now.
"t-thank you for saving me... You're going to be the best hero!" I smiled.
He blushed looking away before pulling me in for a hug quickly surprising me, his hand stroking my lopped ears back.
"y-you could have died, what if I didn't move!? You could have been seriously injured! I-I'm just happy, I wouldn't be able to live my life if I didn't protect you" he held me tighter shaking slightly as I buried my face into his warm chest, his heart was racing.
"you did move though, you saved me! You reacted so fast too I don't know how you could be so fast... I-is there anything I can do to repay you?" I asked pulling away.
"no-no there's nothing, don't worry about it, I'd do it again" he looked down at me, his arms still draped around my lower back.
