Patrolling With Miruko

Once I got back to my room I checked my messages, I had two, one off Mirio and a new one from Nejire.

Mirio: nice to see you're together ;) are you planning on making a move or anything soon?.
Me: no way! I can't.
Mirio: this is the perfect time! He's too nervous to do anything himself, trust me I know he wants to.
Me: I don't think so :P he seems a little stressed though, so you know any ways to comfort him?
Mirio: I know of a way you can relax him ;) just kidding! I'd say just spend time with him, try get his mind off of it.
Me: OK thanks and I don't even want to know what your idea was to relax him lol.
Mirio: goodnight have fun!
Me: goodnight Mirio.

Next was Nejires.

Nejire: hey! Are you sleeping in his room!? X
Me: haha no! I wish :P x
Nejire: damn I got excited for nothing, oh well goodnight x
Me: sorry haha goodnight x

I sighed, my friends really want me to try something with him, but i wouldn't know where to get the confidence from for that.
And even after everything that has happened I still felt unsure about him actually liking me, I couldn't help it, I didn't want to ruin our friendship and I just kept overthinking if he'd end up hating me for it.
I brushed my teeth and got ready for bed trying to think of something to do to show him I really cared for him.

The next day Mirko picked me up and it was our first day out properly patrolling around a different area of the city.
"get up to anything last night?" she winked as we reached a quieter area.
"n-no!" I looked down feeling embarrassed.
"just teasing! I can tell you didn't anyway" she replied.
"w-what do you mean?" I asked.
"well, you wouldn't be acting like this if he'd kissed you would you?" she laughed, I'd imagine i'd be super smiley if he did, just thinking about it made my cheeks warm up.
My ears pricked up as I heard a faint scream, mirko noticed my ears move "you hear something? I must be getting old I didn't didn't hear a thing".
"y-you're so young don't say that, I heard a scream I think, from that direction" I pointed down a near by alleyway.
"right, let's go!" she hopped off as I ran next to her, we found a lady pinned to the wall by someone with a blade type quirk.
My heart stopped, a real villain.
Before I could even think Mirko hopped into action and kicked the villain in the head causing him to fall to the ground letting the lady go.
Mirko climbed on top of him restraining him whilst I watched feeling hopeless that she'd done all that so fast and I hadn't even moved, could I really do this? People's lives were at risk!
I helped the victim up from where she was and lead her away from the alley into an open area checking her over to make sure he hadn't injured her.
Mirko called the police once she had restrained the villain.
"thank you so much!!" the woman cried gripping her expensive looking purse in her hands tightly.
"d-dont worry about it, Mirko did a great job, are you sure he didn't cut you anywhere?" I asked.
She shook her head and we awaited the police so she could give a statement.

We sorted the situation out and the villain went after her to steal her purse apparently, but he was now in the back of a police van.
We walked away as I let out a sigh of relief "scary huh? You did a good job of getting the victim away, but next time I want you to stop the villain ok?" mirko smiled.
"are you sure I'd be able to do that?" I asked, would I be able to be as fast as she was?
She nodded her head confidently "absolutely, you need to believe in yourself".
"s-sorry, I'll try" I blushed as we walked, I didn't know if I could believe in myself.
"you also need to believe you're good enough for Amajiki" she teased.
I looked away from her feeling like she hit the nail on the head there, I definitely didn't feel good enough for him, he was amazing! He's so powerful, sensitive and handsome...
"hey! Stop daydreaming, I can tell by that look on your face you're thinking of him, your cheeks are red too, focus on your role right now" she softly thumped her fist against my head.
"s-sorry!!" I felt so humiliated! I needed to focus!

After a long day Mirko drove me back to the hotel, my feet felt so sore from all the walking and a tiny bit of running from today.
I'd managed to stop someone from trying to steal from a store, helped a victim from a purse snatcher and mainly helped tourists with directions.
I felt lucky that I hadn't come across any big villains yet, I always hoped I'd know what to do when that situation arrived but I wasn't sure I was ready just yet.
"so, we give Mr Aizawa a review of your work from the week, you're doing great so far but I have a challenge for you to get a higher score" she smirked.
"oh what is it? I'll do anything!" I felt like I had to show her how determined I was.
"ohhh, really? Well heroes have to have confidence in themselves, how else will the public have confidence in them right? And yours is pretty low so... I have a way to boost yours, or try to at least" she turned to me as we parked outside of the hotel.
"w-what is it?" I asked now nervous.
"well I want you to be confident around Amajiki, I'm not saying to kiss him or anything but if you can do this then I'm sure your confidence will build right?" she smiled, that innocent look on her face didn't suit her, she knew what she was doing!!
"w-what !? I can't do that?" I blushed immediately.
"oh? But you just said you'd do anything" she smirked.
"I-I just don't see how that would help, I have no idea what to do, why is everyone telling me to make a move" I put my head down in my hands.
"probably because they believe in you? And they want you to be happy, plus knowing your crush likes you back will definitely boost that confidence of yours" she tapped my shoulder.
I felt my cheeks heat up "but no matter what I can't believe he would ever like me, I'm sorry" I sighed.
"OK, here's an idea, how do you feel about making contact with him? Like brushing against him, touching his arm or just being closer to him, it's more subtle than a kiss" she laughed.
"I-I guess I could try?" I bit my lip nervously, id done stuff like that in the past, it couldn't be that hard right?
"that's the spirit! I'll see you tomorrow at 9 OK? Don't be late, have fun" she winked as I opened the door.
"oh god, thanks again! Bye" I got out of her car feeling a little embarrassed.

I got to my room and washed before nervously sitting down thinking of how I could attempt to see Amajiki today.
I sent him a text telling him to let me know when he was back from working with fatgum.
40 minutes later I got a reply from him saying he just got back, I picked up my phone and headed to his room quickly with no warning, I really wanted to see him and if I went as fast as possible my nerves wouldn't have time to set in.
I knocked his door quickly, my heart racing just from the thought of seeing him today.
The door soon opened to a sweaty looking Amajiki, I could feel my cheeks burn at the sight before me, he looked unbelievably hot right now.
