Jeongin was escorted to his 'home' by police to get some of his things to pack to take to the foster home.

Since police were still investigating the case Jeongins father had not been arrested yet. The cops needed more solid evidence then just Jeongins word.

So when he got to his house and saw his dad he felt scared. He walked in first before the police and when his dad saw jeongin he was about to lunge at him.

"Where the fuck have you been you little sh-" he was about to grab jeongin by the neck when the police walked in behind jeongin.

"Sir, I suggest you stay far away from this boy. You better not lay a hand on him." The first police officer that walked in behind jeongin said while closing the gap between jeongin and his father.

Since the cop was wearing a body cam, it picked up the audio and some footage of when jeongins dad was about to grab him. That will be useful for the investigation.

Chan went with jeongin up to his room to pack some things. He grabbed everything he thought necessary including his school things.

Once done the two of them went back downstairs to yelling and something being thrown across the room.

"You can't take my son from me! You fuckers!" Jeongins dad was intoxicated like always and was heavily protesting the taking away of his son.

"Sir we need you to call down." One of the police officers slowly walked up to Mr. Yang to try and calm him down.

"You! You're trying to leave?" Jeongin flinched when his dad made a beeline towards him. He was quick and the police officers were a second too late.

Mr. Yang already had a hand making its way down onto Jeongins face making a loud slapping noise.

Jeongin yelped in pain and was about to be hit again but chan pulled him away at the exact moment and police detained the obviously violent man.

"Why the fuck are you arresting me? I can't discipline my own child?" Jeongins father was  pulling on the restraints and giving the police a very hard time.

"Sir you're under arrest under suspicion of child abuse and resisting arrest." Jeongin smiled widely and embraced chan in a hug.

For the first time ever jeongin was happy that his dad was drunk. He was always more violent and not able to control his anger. If he wasn't intoxicated he would have been able to fake it and act nice.

After Jeongins dad was arrested the cops and Ms. Val brought him to the foster home. They let chan come with him for the first meet. They thought it would be nice for jeongin to have a familiar face there.

The house was very big and jeongin was a bit shocked. They walked up to the door and Ms. Val knocked.

Jeongin took a deep breath and prepared himself to meet the people that he would be staying with.

Chan held onto his hand for comfort and squeezed it to reassure the nervous boy.

The door opened.

'Here goes nothing' jeongin thought to himself.
