No one POV.

When cps and the cops arrived jeongin had to tell them everything he had told Mrs. Jihyo.

"Hello my name is ms. Val, whats your name?" The cps worker held out her hand and jeongin hesitantly shook it.

"M-my name is jeongin." Ms. Val smiled at him and immediately noticed something odd.

"Are these bruises from your dad?" The cps worker was referring to the bruises that jeongin had gotten from when he was jumped.

"Oh uh n-no ma'am." She gave him a look of confusion. "What are these from then hun?" She spoke very softly to jeongin and she was very very sweet to the boy.

"I-I uh got jumped when I was walking to the store." The social worker nod her head in understanding.

"Ok jeongin do you have any family members or relatives that you know of that you can stay with?" Jeongin thought real hard and he couldn't think of any.

His grandparents on both sides had passed away and he didnt have any aunts or uncles that he knew of.

He shook his head and looked down at his feet. After a few seconds of silence and the social worker writing things down chan spoke up.

"H-he can stay with me." Chan was hopeful and really wanted to help out in any way he could.

"Are you related to jeongin?" Chan shook his head "no but I'm his friend!" Ms. Val shook her head.

"I'm sorry but since jeongin is still a minor he needs to stay with a legal guardian," chan and jeongin understood and felt sad.

"But if we can prove that jeongin is capable to live on his own and has enough adult-like maturity and can prove his financial independence we can go before a judge and get him emancipated so he is able to live where ever."

Chan and Jeongin lit up at those words. "So, how do we do that?" Chan questioned, not knowing how any of this works.

"Well we would have to prove we have probable cause and show that jeongin has a stable income and can reasonably support himself. So first things first you need a job and a place to stay which won't be too hard considering your friend here already offered."

Jeongin smiled at chan and gripped his hand tighter from where they were intertwined.

"Um ma'am?" Jeongin asked getting the cps workers attention.

"Yes darling?" Jeongin looked up at her shyly and began to speak. "W-where am I going to stay in the mean time?" Jeongin asked referring to while he is searching for a job.

"Well in the mean time you are going to have to stay with a host home." Jeongin tilted his head in confusion like a curious puppy.

"A host home? Whats that?" Jeongin had never heard of one of those before.

"A host home is like a foster home or a group home that will take you in and take care of you." Chan didn't like the idea of jeongin living with random people.

"What if the people he stays with are abusive too?" Chan was trying to contain his anger but kinda failed when asking his question.

"Not possible. Everyone who runs a foster home has background checks and need a foster licence. Everytime we have a domestic violence report in a foster home their licence is taken away and they are not allowed to renue or foster again." She reassured the boys.

"Don't worry boys, I promise I will take care of jeongin. You're in good hands, ok? I take my job very seriously."

Jeongin trusted Ms. Val and felt that he was finally safe.
