Surprise again🎊🎊 Have fun reading ✨✨
____________________________________"By the time he was done with me, I was left bleeding and weak on the kitchen floor. He took me to the bathroom to clean me up, and I cried through it.
"He told me to stop crying, that my mates in the north were married and were mothers already. He said, that I should be happy, that he had made me a woman.
"That was his birthday present to me, apparently. I was just crying throughout. Junior got home first and noticed my mood. Caring as he was, he tried to find out what was wrong, but my mouth couldn't say a word.
"Aunty Benita didn't find out immediately, but she did eventually. By the time she noticed my limping; and she realised the gleam in her husband's eye; she put two and two together.
"She never said anything to me about it, but I know that she knew. From the way that she looked at me, she definitely knew what had transpired between Uncle Okoro and I.
"However, she did not confront him. Maybe, she wanted to believe that it was a one-time thing; so she ignored it. She just bought me baggy and drab clothes to hide my newly formed figure.
"I didn't realise it then, but she was doing it to make me unappealing to him. It seemed like he withdrew after a while, and I couldn't have been more relieved.
"After that incident, I could never look at Uncle Okoro the same way again. He destroyed my ability to trust, and Aunty Benita became even more hostile to me.
"Junior was the only one out of the loop of what his father did. He was not oblivious to the tension, but he didn't know why it was there in the first place.
"Few weeks later, Uncle Okoro came to my room in the middle of the night. That was the first time, after the kitchen incident. He came to take what was not his from me again.
"I screamed and cried as loud as I could, because I wanted to call the attention of everyone in the house. I wanted them to get him off of me.
"It produced the desired results, as both Junior and Aunty Benita, rushed into my room; only to meet the man of the house on top of me, with his boxers down.
"Aunty Benita yelled at him to get off me, but he ignored her shouts, until he finished his task. She was so humiliated by his actions, and so very furious.
"The decorum she maintained previously; when he did it the first time; was thrown in the trash can, as she called him out in front of me and Junior. She cried, pushed him, wailed about everything she did to satisfy him, but he did not budge.
"She even insulted him, called him different names, and called him shameless. That was when he snapped, and his stoic stance shifted.
"Before our very eyes, he pounced on her, and beat her silly. He told her that she was just a measly wife, and he was the head of the home; so his words were final. He said she was foolish for questioning him, and that he'd throw her out of the house if she ever did such again.
"His brutality shut her up quick. Uncle Okoro did have the tendency to be violent, if provoked.
"After the whole display, he stormed out of my room; leaving only the three of us there. Aunty Benita could only weep and wail; I was too shell shocked to move or do a thing; and Junior was mortified, out of his skin.
"Once she caught her husband with me, red-handed this time; Aunty Benita continued her own hostile treatment, as though I was the one who invited her husband.
"More than her home life, Aunty Benita was concerned with her family's image. That was why she threatened me into keeping her husband's misdeeds a secret.
