The temperature was way hotter today in the November weather so I had changed out of my-Josh's clothes and into a light pink and hot pink tie-dyed bikini then put light washed mom shorts and a yellow tank top over it with my white tennis shoes before doing my usual morning skincare and makeup.
"Come in Savannah!" I hear Hailey yell at me as I'm finishing putting on my mascara.
I walk down stairs with my phone and wallet in hand to see both of them sitting on the couch in the living room bickering about something.
I walk past my dads office to see it empty. He hasn't come home for a few days which worries me so much. My mother has been oddly cheery though.
I walk past the living room to the backyard to see my mother figuring out the sprinkler system.
"Hey, can we take the car?" I ask her and she shows a quick nod before speaking.
"Go ahead, grab my grocery list off the fridge and stop by Walmart or something please though." She explains and I return her actions and walk to the kitchen, grab the paper made list, the car keys, and we head out.
The drive is nearly an put and we stop by Starbucks on the way to refill on coffee, when we walk up to the ticket stand we get 3 adult tickets for $8.19 each, and wait in line to get on the ferry.
"Have you ever been to the islands?" Austin asks, knocking me out of my daze.
"No," I begin but continue when they give me weird looks. "My dad... is not very adventurous."
They nod and after about half an hour we are let onto the boat and go to our seats before waiting another few minutes to leave.
"I'm excited!" Austin cheers as we start moving. Hell, I would be lying if I said I wasn't. The water was beautiful and a sight for sore eyes.
"So we will get off at wards ferry dock, go to wards beach, stay there for an hour or so then make our way over to wards clubhouse island café, then to go rent bikes , then we can ride over to manitou beach, then we can stop by the marina, then the last beach is also a nude beach," Hailey explains while holding a map in front of us, winking at the end.
We all agree to the plan and get off the ferry and make our way to our first stop.
"Where do y'all wanna sit?" Austin asks in his usual southern accent.
I point to an empty spot and place down our towels and bags before I start undressing to show my swimsuit.
"Toss the sunscreen," I demand and Hailey tosses the metal can towards me and when I nearly miss the catch I start spraying my arms, legs, back, chest, and stomach before waiting for them to be ready to get in the water.
Hailey was wearing a green on green bikini while Austin was wearing orange swim trunks.
The water was nice and cold, not too cold. A relaxing cool.
We stay a little, Austin tans while I take my time in the water to enjoy the small waves due to the wind.

After walking a distance of many miles that concludes of getting slushee's at café's and seeing skinny dip at our last stop we buy our ferry ticket and get on our way home.
It was 4:57pm so we had time to get home and ready for dinner.
On our drive home, Hailey had offered to drive back, which I gladly took her up on, while I had fallen asleep in the backseat after an exhausting hot day in the middle of fall.
Hell, I didn't recognize where we were until we pulled up to the house along with another SUV in the driveway.
I immediately recognize that car, it was my fathers. With that, I had assumed that he had returned from his little vacation.
My breath hitches as we walk through the door to see him dressed overly nice and with a fake smile painted onto his wrinkled face.
"Savannah," he greets. I give him a sharp glare before he continues. "These must me your Florida friends." He extracts his hand out.
They awkwardly greet each other and I lead them both upstairs to my room.
"Sorry about that, I didn't know he would be here." I murmur.
"It's okay, just... weird" Austin tells me with a scowl as he plopped on my bed clearly exhausted.
"Well we have to change into nice clothes for dinner so let's get a move on" I clap my hands, getting their attention and shuffling Austin out of my room.
Honestly, I would kill to just fall asleep under my soft covers right now but the world, aka my family, won't let me.
I decide to to change into some comfortable jeans and a red t-shirt to pull it together, keeping my socks on but not bothering to put shoes on.
