I run onto my bed, jumping onto my stomach before grabbing the phone and picking it up, not even looking at the contact.
"Hello?" I say in a sing-song voice.
"Hello? Savannah?" I hear a masculine voice say through the phone line.
"Josh?" I question.
"Uh, yeah," he chuckles, "we are here a bit early so I recommend you two come out now."
I hang up the phone before grabbing my purse that holds my wallet and now my phone and walk out the door with Avani.
Today, there was no one or say goodbye due to my mother having an emergency.
Avani sprints to the door.
"Avani! I can't run!" I belt while walking politely down the to the first floor and grabbing my shoes, limping might I add. When I walk outside, Avani is waiting for me on the front porch and we laugh at each other once again before opening the back of the car door while we pile in.
"Hi, baby." Anthony greets Avani from the front seat, "how're you guys?"
"Savannah is too slow to walk out the door," Avani groans earning a scowl from me.
"Hey! It's not my fault. It hurts!" I explain before Josh starts talking.
"Oh yeah, how is your leg? Are you switching the bandage often?" He interrogates me as I nod my head yes.
I smile but roll my eyes a bit. "No need to be all daddy-like," I mumble quietly hoping he didn't hear me.
"I would be surprised if you said you didn't like me being daddy-like" he remarks, emphasizing the 'daddy'. I gasp, my eyes widening in shock as the words fall past his lips and I slap his arm from the backseat.
He chuckles but turns his head back to facing the road.
The drive was, well, interesting. Josh in the passenger seat, continuing to turn up the volume after every time Anthony, who is driving, would turn it back down to hear his girlfriends lovely voice.
Although when the pain does start to seep into my shin, I pull up my jeans and unwrap the skin colored wrap to see it bleeding a little bit, but I don't mind it and wrap the bandage around my leg once again before we arrive at the restaurant.
We all get out of the car and Josh comes and puts his arm around both my shoulders sending sparks of heart through me and causing my face to flush.
He was wearing black jeans with a tucked in white button up. He had on nice black business attire shoes and his hair flowing as usual in the wind
"They should already be here," Anthony comments, opening the door for all of us and allowing us to step in before him.
The front desk clerk greets us politely and we inform her that we already had a booth reserved for 6. They bring us to a table that has two girls who looked about our ages sitting at.
One of the girls has bright red hair and many freckles covering her face and arms, she had beautiful makeup on that would be a little out of my comfort zone if I were wearing it. The other girl had super tanned skin and dark brown hair, who's skin was flawless, not a single trace of a scar or pimple, her eyebrows looked as they were freshly done and the wing of eyeliner on her lids were so perfectly straight.
They both stop in their conversation and look up at us, while standing up to greet us.
"Hi, I'm Mikayla," the dark haired girl introduces to Avani and I before giving a hug to Josh and Anthony, hugging Josh for a little too long.
"And I'm Sierra, you are...?" The redhead-Sierra- asks.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Savannah," I let out my hand to shake hers and she returns the favor, doing the same with Avani.
"I'm Avani, it's wonderful to meet you two."
As we sit down, Josh and Avani next to me, Mikayla, Sierra, and Anthony on the other side. I can't help but notice the way that Josh is looking at Mikayla. So lustful. Maybe they have history together... or maybe he's cheating on me?
I really don't know.
"So, Savannah, do you play any sports or anything?" Sierra asks, seeming very intrigued.
"Uh... yeah, I play volleyball but I'm out for a few weeks due to injury." I explains, sucking in my lips and nodding my head.
"Aw, what kind?" Mikayla smiles oddly at me, I furrow my eyebrows at her but suddenly relax when I Josh's cold hand intertwining with mine, rubbing circles with his thumb.
"Uh I slipped and had to get stitches on my shin." I inform, trying desperately not to glare directly in her eyes.
"Oh, well maybe you'll be able to get back soon, and maybe Josh will come back to me when you do." She says bluntly with a sigh, swirling her straw around in her strawberry lemonade.
My breath hitches as I stare at her, jaw clenched, and my muscles tensing at her words. Even though Josh and I haven't been dating for that long, that doesn't mean that I haven't liked him for way longer.
I stand up abruptly, pulling my hand out of Josh's, "uhm, I have to use the restroom... I'll be back." I say whitely before limping as fast as I can to the restroom, shutting the door and handing to the sinks.
As I stare at my reflection, I go over myself, seeing just how red my face looks from the anger wave that just occurred.
God, she's perfect. It makes me want to further change my appearance. Get my brows done, start wearing more makeup, start wearing eyeliner.
Who am I kidding? I have the shakiest hands in the world to do that.
I sigh, what did happen between them? Should I ask Josh after the dinner? Gosh, I'm about to lose my appetite due to this.
I turn on the sink water, which turned out to be freezing cold, and wash my hands- make it seem at least somewhat believable that I used the bathroom- before drying them and walking back to the table.
I lock eyes with Josh as I sit down, his face showing a worried expression and I shrug it off looking at the menu placed in front of me.
Reading over it, so many options look good, just the words are making my mouth water.
When the waiter did come, taking our drink and food orders, I order a raspberry twist, which is a non-alcoholic drink that really only consists of raspberry lemonade mixed with sprite, and fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread on the side.
I have no idea what anyone else ordered as I daydreamed of possibilities that could be the cause of tension between Josh and her.

NO THE GIRL IS NOT NESSA
I said at the beginning of the book that Nessa wouldn't be in this so just a clarification the girl is not Nessa.
But anyway what do you think of Mikayla and Sierra?
