As five o'clock rolls around, as I'm smearing foundation onto my freshly cleaned face along with concealer, blush, highlight, gold eyeshadow, and mascara.

By the time I'm ready and dressed in a burnt orange skirt with white polka dots and a white sweater with light wood buttons going down the middle is tucked into the skirt with a pair of white sneakers to go with it.

I sit patiently on the stool in the kitchen waiting for a terrifying ring of the doorbell. I hear soft footsteps erupting from the living room as my mother walks in.

"Why're you so fancied up?" She asks, putting her empty glass in the sink.

"I'm going on a date," I rightly smile and she gives me an oh-is-it-with-that-boy look and I nod.

I hear A loud ringing of the doorbell as I give her a glare, "Don't embarrass me," I order as I stand up and grab my phone and wallet to go and answer the door, being followed shortly by my mother.

When I open the door, I see Josh dressed in a plain champagne-colored hoodie overtopped with a black jean jacket with jeans and old school checkered vans.

"Hello, Savannah." He pauses and looks to my side, "hello Mrs. Williams."

"Oh please, call me Cheryl," she offers, putting her hand out for him to shake, and unsurprisingly, he does. "Well you two have fun... but not too much fun." She winks as I start walking out the door but I don't make it out fast enough to escape an assuring smack on my butt.

As soon as the door is shut, I grab his hand and lead him to his car.

"Sorry about that," I apologize, opening the passenger door.

"It's okay, I love your mom, she's very nice." He tells me, starting the engine.

The ride into Toronto is a peaceful silence, silent enough to only hear the sound of the faint radio in the background playing an unidentifiable song while Josh taps on the steering wheel to the beat.

After 45 minutes, we arrive downtown and pay for a spot in the parking garage.

as soon as I step out of the warmth of the car, I'm blown in the face with a cloud of coolness, making me shiver.

Josh steps next to me, lacing my hand with his, as we make our way to the elevator to get to the first floor. As we stand Close quarters inside the elevator, I spark up a conversation.

"Thank you," I smile, looking up at him.

"For?"

"For taking me down here, I used to always come down here with my parents but we haven't in a couple of years," I explain.

"Oh well, you're welcome," he says, looking down to me before leaning in and pressing an eager kiss to my lips, I twirl my fingers in his hair for the few seconds our passionate affair lasts before the elevator abruptly opens and two teenage girls Walk-in.

I bite my bottom lip to hide my smile as I and Josh stand side to side back to back against the elevator. His face holds an embarrassed smile.

I look to my feet although I can hear the girls next to me clearly whispering about him.

The elevator door opens, and we speedily walk straight out before we hear a screeching noise behind us.

"Wait!" The seemingly middle school girl yells. We turn around, "Are you, Josh Richards?"

"Yeah," he answers smoothly.

"Can we get a picture with you?" The brunette asks, taking her phone from the back pocket of her overt ripped jeans.

"Sure," I move out of the way so that the young girls can get on either side of us and take a quick selfie until they thank them and walk out of the building.

He grabs my hand and pulls me along with him as we walk out into the freezing air.

"Aw, you have fans," I tease and he unlaced our fingers and puts his arm over my shoulders.

"Yeah, whatever,"

We walk down the sidewalk for what seems like hours, talking about family life, school exams that are coming up in a week, even plain things we didn't know about each other.

"Oh my god, I can't even think about studying all next week," I groan, explaining my first world problems to him.

"Me either but..." he looks to me, "maybe we should just do it together?"

"Deal."

"Deal."

We've been walking for nearly two hours as we have been making our way to Toronto Eaton Centre bridge.

The bridge is beautiful, the hexagonal glass and lights brighten up the surroundings as if it wasn't pitch blackout in the first place.

We stand in the middle as I spin aimlessly, looking at the cars passing by below as rain starts to trickle down the glass windows.

A hand wraps around my wrist and Josh pulls me into his chest.

"Sav..." he seethes, "so I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and, ever since I saw you in sophomore year... I knew that you were the most... beautiful girl and I have liked you, as more than just a friend ever since we had that brief conversation at the football game last year because Lucas made you sit with all of us... you were so shy." He breathes in, "and I totally understand if you say no l... but will you be my girlfriend?"

I turn around, looking up at him with a cheek-to-cheek smile. "Yes."

He leans down and harshly puts his lips on mine, resting his hands at my waist.

"We should get you home," Josh tells me after I yawn, breaking the kiss.

As we make our two-hour walk back to the car it's horrific to think that Josh is entirely different from Lucas. He treated me right before today.

I shiver from the thought of Lucas and the cold that the nearing winter brings.

"You cold?" He asks and I nod. He puts his phone in his hoodie pocket then starts taking off his jean jacket and starts pulling the sleeves onto my arms.

As soon as the jacket is on, I feel the immediate warmth and the smell of overused cologne. I wrap my arm around his waist as we take our long trip in the middle of the night back to the car.
