"Jungkook...what're you..."
"Who's at the door?" Yoongi asks, appearing behind me to find Jungkook standing patiently at his doorstep. "Oh, hey JK," he greets, immediately wrapping his arm around my waist, resulting in me straightening my back at the feeling. 'And so the act continues.'
"Hey," he slightly jerks his head up as a greeting gesture. "I came for those earrings back," he says, glancing down at me and his hand around my waist before looking back up at Yoongi.
"Oh, right," he replies, releasing his grip on me. Raising both hands, he unhooks the dangling chains from both piercings and hands them to Jungkook. "Thanks for letting me..."
"Can Jungkook just drive me home?" I ask, looking up to find his face hovering over mine. It read a cold expression that also made Jungkook uncomfortable. Glancing down at him, I widen my eyes, trying to signal him to just say yes.
"I mean...I suppose I can," he says nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as he does so. "If it's no..."
"No," Yoongi cuts him off. "No it's not a problem," he mutters, looking back down at me with a small fire burning in his hazel eyes. "Text me when you get home," he sighs, leaning down and pressing a kiss to the top of my head before stepping back and closing the door behind him.
"Thank you so much," I whisper, hugging my clothes and showing him a grateful smile. My gratification must have convinced him, for he smiled as well before gesturing to his car parked at the bottom of the steps on the brick circle that surrounded a large fountain.
"Yeah, no problem. Is everything okay?" He asks, stepping onto the smooth pavement and opening the passenger door for me.
"Oh, it's fine...it's just," I pause, stopping at the door and facing him, "never mind. It's stupid and childish of me to say." I shrug, beginning to climb into the car when his voice stops me.
"If you're worried about Yoongi finding out where you live, I completely understand your position," he smiles, my eyes meeting his as I stand frozen in my stance. His gaze gave me a sense of relief and also embarrassment at the idea of him knowing. "If he really liked you, he wouldn't be ashamed by where you live."
"I know. I just...wish I didn't have to be the one to worry about small things when he lives in such luxuries and could care less about what happens to him. Heck, I walked in on him drink champagne with gold leaf out of the clearest crystal I've ever seen!" I groan, my nose scrunching at my stupid dilemma.
He lets out a small laugh at my complaining. "That sounds like Yoongi; can't go a day without a small drink in his hand," he sighs, suddenly turning low at what he just mentioned.
"What do you mean?" I ask, growing curious at his sudden change in behavior.
He gently shakes his head before replying with, "that's for him to tell you if he chooses to."
And with that, I climb into the car and we begin our trip to my house. 'Drinking? Was Yoongi an alcoholic of some sort? Why didn't he just tell me?' I thought the entire way home.~
He dropped me off, not without me thanking him a million times. He just laughed it off and wished me a good weekend before driving away. Entering my house, I find my papa sitting at the dining table, reading a magazine of some sort, and mama cleaning up the plates from breakfast.
"Oh! Dea! Where have you been?" Mama asks, setting down her dirty dishes and quickly wrapping her hands before hurrying over to me. "Papa and I didn't know where you were since you had no phone. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, mama," I smile. Hiding my phone in the pocket of my jeans. 'I can't tell them yet, cause then I'd just lead back to Yoongi and our fake relationship.' "Jungkook and the others stayed over at his house. We were all super tired and don't worry, Jiwoo and I shared a room by ourselves," I lie, holding my smile as she turns to look at papa who just nods his head at my explanation.
"Alright, missy. We'll let you off the hook this time, but next time, bring the spare phone," she winks, pressing a kiss to my forehead before going back to her dishwashing.
I sneak upstairs to my room where I fall face first on my made bed. So many emotions were swirling around me. 'I'm in a fake relationship with Yoongi, trying to win back Tae's heart, while also slightly falling for Jungkook?'
I slam a pillow over my head in frustration. "Why do I feel like such a slut..?" I whisper to myself, just as the phone in my back pocket buzzes. Pulling it out, I turn my head to read a new text from 'Yoongi Bear🐻❤️'
'Didn't I tell you to text me when you'd get home?' I read in my head, my eyes rolling at his unnecessary text.
'Sorry, I forgot. It's not like you care anyways,' I send back. Three dots immediately reappear at the bottom before another text is sent.
'I don't, I just don't want to be involved in a murder if you end up dying after leaving my house.' I couldn't help smiling at his stupid humor that showed this other side of him.
'You're an idiot for thinking your own friend would kidnap me.'
I wait a few seconds before the usual text bubble reappears and a text shows up. 'He probably thinks otherwise. We're only convincing them even more.'
My smile slowly fades away at the remembrance of the act. 'Right...only a matter of time now,' I text back, this time, no text bubble appearing. Turning off my phone, I lay it down beside me as I close my eyes.
'What a freshman year I'm having.'
