This rest of the school day was a blur. I occasionally found Yoongi in the hall with Jennie, purposely avoiding me while Tae was stuck around Jisoo's finger and Jiwoo and Jimin had other plans for themselves.
I was alone for the first time and I didn't like it. I don't know if it was because of the lack of attention I was getting or what? At the end of the day, I stood at my locker, packing my things as Jimin and Jiwoo walk happily out hand in hand. She shoots me a comforting smile that I returned just as Yoongi appeared beside my locker.
Neither of us said a thing, for the routine was too familiar by now. He was going to wait by my locker then drive me home. As I slam my locker and swing my back of my shoulder, Jennie approaches Yoongi with a grin on her smug face.
"Hi there, Yoongi Oppa," she giggles, ruffling his hair as he avoids her gaze. "I have to shop for new cosmetics at the mall and you know how much I love using your skin tone in comparison. You won't mind, right, Dea?" She bats her lashes at me while hugging his arm and leaning incredibly close to him.
"Woah woah, I gotta drive her h..." he begins to say, trying to push her away as I interrupt.
"It's okay. I understand," is all I say, shooting him a wink before waving them goodbye and making my way towards Jungkook at his locker with Jin. Leaning my head against the nearby locker, he makes eye contact with me suspiciously.
"What d'you want?" He chuckles before going back to packing his backpack.
"A ride home?" I reply, clasping my hands together in a begging position. "Please?" I add, Jin laughing at my plead.
"See you, JK. Looks to me like you're busy," he pats the youngest's back before walking away towards Namjoon.
"Wait...uh..." he tries to stop him, releasing a sigh in failure. Whipping his head back to me, he sighs once more before nodding his head. "Alright, freshie," he smiles, slamming his locker and leading the way to the common room.
"Thank you, Jeon Jungkook!" I cheer, hugging him from the back, allowing us both to slightly stumble and erupt with laughter.
"You're welcome, Choi Dea!" He squeals back, purposely using a higher pitch to imitate me. We walk past Yoongi and Jennie who were still at my locker where Jennie was showing him a few brands she wanted to try out during their shopping spree.
I show him a wave while continuing to hug Jungkook around the waist and having him drag me down the hall. He just presses his lips together nervously before being forced to look at Jennie's screen by a sudden snapping of her fingers.
"Look, Yoongi Oppa! This is so your color!" She snaps, pointing to her screen before they both disappear around the corner. That was where I let go of Jungkook and let him lead me out of the building and to his car.
"Looks to me like your boyfriend is getting taken away from you," he says as he unlocks his car and opens the drivers door.
"I don't mind," I reply, taking a seat in the car beside him. Whipping my head his way, I find him staring at me with furrowed eyebrows. "What?"
"Don't 'what' me! Jennie is literally just taking him and you..."
"And I'm fine with it...cause," I begin to say but stop at the remembrance of the secret. 'He's trustworthy though...right?' "If I tell you something, you can't tell a soul...okay?" His eyes widen at my sudden seriousness before nodding his head wheel starting his car. "Okay...so Yoongi and I are fake dating because he and Jennie got in a fight and he wants to win her back while I want to date Tae so we're both trying to make the other person jealous. It's a win win move and I'll finally break it off Friday when he leaves, so yeah," I quickly say, his jaw slightly parting at my words.
"I...what?" He replies, furrowing his eyebrows again while holding his mouth ajar. "That's fraud."
"This is high school. I didn't change my name or anything," I giggle, pressing pieces of hair behind my ears nervously. "But...the thing is, Tae is beginning to like me and Jennie is getting back to her usual self around Yoongi."
"That's what you want, right?" He replies, pulling out of the parking lot along with many other cars.
"Right..." I sigh, gazing out the window questionably. 'This IS what I want...right?'~
2 Days Later
"Alright, I took my Japanese test, I have no homework, and now I can go home and finally use my time to get ready for tonight," I groan at my locker while Jiwoo waits for me with a grin and her lips.
"Nice! I can't wait to go to our first homecoming. Jimin won't stop talking to me about it," she blushes, glancing down the hall to where her man was chatting with Jin. "Where's Yoongi, anyways?" She asks.
"Oh, he left without me to get his things ready at the mansion. He leaves tonight but wants to make sure he has everything he needs," I explain, followed by a heavy sigh as I slam my locker shut and swing my bag over my shoulder. Suddenly...it hit me. 'The lighter!' "I gotta go!" I say, whipping around and taking off down the hall.
"What? Dea, wait!" I hear her call out, only for her voice to drone out in the crowd of students all trying to go home. I make it out to the parking lot, starting my car and zooming off to the Min Mansion as quickly as possible.
The minute I arrived, the maids and staff greeted me and told me he was in his room. I race up the stairs, my heart pounding from my run before finally reaching the room.
Opening it, I find him hovered over his suitcases laid out on his bed, each one containing a certain set of items or clothing. He looks to find me breathless at the door. Furrowing his brows, he quickly walks over to me.
"Dea? What're you doing here?" He asks, grasping my shoulders as I cough and continue to breathe hard and fast.
"I...I have to...tell you something," I breathe, taking my bag and setting it on the ground as I continued to try to catch my breath.
