"Wh-what?" I reply, lowering my hands as his smile slightly grows at my response. "I thought...I thought we weren't going to homecoming..."
"I'll go," he immediately replies, running his fingers through his bangs once before continuing, "just not with you."
'Does he remember anything from last night?' I think as his response hits me hard in the chest. 'I guess I'll just have to go with Jungkook if Tae fails again.'
"Do you..." I swallow, finally deciding to ask about last night, "do you remember anything from last night?" I ask. His eyebrows furrow at my out-of-the-blue question before slowly shaking his head.
"No, why? Did you like break one of my watches without me knowing or something?" He asks, crossing his arms as my cheeks flush red and fear glazed over my eyes.
"What? No, of course not!" I snap, crossing my arms and turning back around to avoid his teasing glare. "And I'm not going shopping with you. I need a girl's perspective," I add just as his suddenly wraps his arms around my waist in a long, back hug.
"I will pick you up and throw you in the car," he dares, tightening his grasp so it no longer was a hug, but almost a threat.
"I swear to god, Yoongi," I mutter, trying to pull away, only for him to unexpectedly lift me up and throw me effortlessly over his shoulder. "Hey! Put me down!" I demand, pounding on his back as he carries me out of the room and into the hall. "If you drop me down those stairs...I'll make sure you never see the light of day again!"
He laughs at my words, even stopping beside the railing to control his laughter. "You are too cute," he chuckles before continuing his way down the stairs with me still secured on his shoulder. "Damn, why're you so light?" I could sense his smirk from behind his back and it only made me more upset.
"I can walk. Please place my frail self on the ground," I muffle into his back, growing tired of lifting my head up to see where he was going.
He roars with laughter once again. "Oh, but isn't this the perfect way to meet your boyfriend's sister?" He asks in a purposefully loud tone so she would hear it. I punch his back with my fists in embarrassment as he carries me down the hall and past the dinning room where she sat with a cup of tea. "I'm going out, Yoora. Also, this is Dea: my girlfriend," he says loud and proud while I cover my flushed face with my palms.
She looks up from her phone, her red-stained lips pressed together in a thin line that matched her catlike eyes. She scans the shape in front of her before looking back down slowly.
"Go change out of those ridiculous clothes and set her down," she says in a sharp tone that was much different from when she was confronting Yoongi upstairs a few minutes ago. 'Did I change her mood? I really shouldn't be here then.'
"Bye, love you!" He shouts, ignoring her order and continuing down towards the front door where he finally sets me down. I couldn't help but laugh at his weird energy compared to last night.
'Last night...right...that still happened.'
"God, that was so rude of you," I snap, still holding my smile though as he unlocks his car and dances over to it. "Why are you in such a good mood?" I laugh.
"Well, I get to go dress shopping, right? Who wouldn't want that?" He says in a tone that I didn't know was sarcastic or genuine. Seeing my raised eyebrow and crossed arms, he leaves the driver's side and strides back over to me. "Alright, fine. And I get to also hang out with you," he winks, his face about a foot away from mine.
I squint my eyes a bit as I just notice something. "You're contact is torn," I lie, pointing to his left eye. His eyebrows raise his eyes widen at my words before clasping a hand over the eye.
"Are you kidding me?" He replies, taking out his phone and pulling up the camera. I took that time to sprint over to the driver's side, successfully distracting him and stealing his spot in the front seat.
"Hey! What're you doing?!" He shouts as I quickly buckle myself and cross my arms over my chest. He appears in front of me with the door wide open.
"That's what happens when you wear contacts when you know I hate them," I shrug, his shoulders dropping in both relief and sadness. "Get in the passenger side," I grin, pointing to the seat beside me.
"Oh, come on," he groans, dragging himself over to the passenger door while I take a seat in the driver's side. "You never told me you hated them."
"Well, I'm telling you now," I reply, starting the car, finding pleasure in the loud roar of the engine. I turn to face him, only to find his arms crossed and pouting beside me. "Why change something like that? I hate how Tae does it, even though he looks gorgeous in blue eyes. So don't try to take the prettiness out of your eyes," I scold, his eyebrows raise at my reaction.
He pauses for a few seconds, increasing the awkwardness and allowing me to pull away from his house and towards a mall. "You think my eyes are pretty?" He suddenly asks after several minutes of silence.
My body tenses up at his words. Glancing frantically around while I tried to think of an explanation, I thankfully reach a stop light where I continued my thinking. "Uh...well, yeah. You have beautiful, hazel eyes."
'Why the hell did you say it like that?!' I think to myself while pressing my lips together awkwardly. "Well, say something. It's so quiet," I breathe, trying to just focus on the road while he sat silently for a few more seconds.
Clicking his tongue, I see him turn his head to face me, only causing myself to tense up even more. "I'll keep that in mind so I can tell Tae before homecoming."
Releasing my held in breath, I smile at his comment. 'Why did I think he was going to say something completely different like...your eyes are way prettier, I could stare into them all day?'
I scoff at myself. 'What a fool I am.'
