prompt: as someone coming from a family that produces coffee for a living, you find Hansung's addiction for the instant type quite infuriating

as someone who loves coffee, I had to write this!! also, a little heads up, I'll be using a typical type of italian coffee since I'm from there (and it's literally what I always drink oops)

You sighed, as you watched your lover (and colleague) drink that godforsaken beverage for the third time in just that hour.
You knew very well of how stubborn and picky you sounded, but after growing up with only handmade coffee to drink, you couldn't fathom liking something like instant coffee.
The worst thing? Hansung knew that, and yet, it seemed like he made an extra effort to annoy you everytime, sipping on it with a satisfied smirk as he offered you some- something that never stopped to make you frustrated.

"What's wrong dear? Are you perhaps thirsty?" You fumed, as you shot a glare at him- why did you even love him in the first place?

"I don't need your fake coffee, thank you very much! Now, if you want to know how a real one tastes, I suggest you follow me to the kitchen!" You declared, marching to said room as you heard Hansung laugh; you knew you probably seemed childish, but hey, that man could really bring the worst in you sometimes, even though you were in love with him. You still remembered when you first found out about his addiction to (fake!) coffee.

After such a long day of testing regulars, all you could think about was laying in bed; it hadn't even been one of the good days, especially with such petty and stubborn regulars- seriously, where did they get the confidence to say such things when they hadn't even started to climb the tower? You remembered being so scared and awkward when you first entered the second floor, so it was so weird and frustrating to see such cocky contestants (then again, it might have very well been just a you problem). To make matters worse, you had just finished your stack of coffee, so you had gone on with your day (although reluctantly) without it; you were aware that the cafeteria sold some instant coffee, but you would have preferred to die rather than drinking such garbage.

"Oh, (Y/n)-san, here you are. I was wondering if you wanted to join me for a coffee in my office?" You turned around, blinking a couple of times in suprirse before mumbling a 'with pleasure sir'; you hadn't been working there for long, so you certainly didn't expect the test administrator to invite you, of all people- then again, it could just be that he wanted to fire you.

As you entered the room, you found yurself admiring how well decorated it was- it should have come as a surprise though, seeing how high up the advanced ranker was; it was only when you took a sit by Hansung's table, that you noticed what was waiting in front of you.

Instant coffee.

"Well, why don't you take a seat?" You smiled politely, trying not to show your displeasure; if you could, you would have declained, but you were too nice to do that (besides, you couldn't just be rude to your boss, could you?).

-

You hummed as you brew your coffee- you had just steamed the milk, and you couldn't wait to drink it; you might have seemed obsessive to the outsider's eye, but it was a habit that had been engraved into your mind since you had been old enough to drink the beverage. It helped you relax, so that you could start doing whatever you had to in a calmer way.

"Hey darling, mind sharing with me?" A pair of arms snuck around you, the voice of your boyfriend coming from right beside your ear; you would have normally jumped and slapped whoever was there, but after years of Hansung doing that, you had become quite accustomed to it.

Another thing that you were more than familiar with by now, was sharing said coffee with your significant other; although he seemed to prefer instant foods, he never turned down the offer of drinking it when you made it. It did made you a bit annoyed sometimes (less coffee for you!) but you didn't mind if it was him- quite the contrary, it just meant that you wouldn't have to watch him sip on that thing.

You giggled a little as you poured the drink on two cups; just you wait my dear, you thought, I'll get you to stop drinking that thing one day!
