kou minamoto × reader III

Prompt: reader spends the night at Kou's house.

The first thing she felt was warmth.

It wasn't from the sun, nor from the blanket covering them, but from her boyfriend's arms.
They must have fallen asleep while watching the movie they had picked the evening before, because her hair was still tied up, and the bowl of popcorns still on the side of his bed. She seemed to be the only one awake yet, his light snoring being the only sound in the room. 

The second thing she felt was his breathing on her neck.

It was the norm for them to cuddle whenever she stayed at his house for the night, and while they usually liked to switch between different positions, this time he had been the big spoon. His arms were secured around her waist, their legs tangled and his face was hidden in the space between her shoulder and her neck. She didn't dare move, and even though she wanted to be able to look at Kou, she didn't want to disturb him, not when he was so peaceful and relaxed.

Then, she felt him move around, and she heard his voice.

For someone so easily flustered, he was surprisingly clingy when he was still sleepy. He tightened his grip on her, moving even closer to her than she thought possible. He placed a soft kiss on the top of her head, mumbling something about being too early to wake up. She giggled, being careful not to make too much noise. That would mean interrupting this magical moment, which was also the best part of the day in her opinion.

"Good morning to you too, love."

"Oh sorry, did I wake you?"

"Don't worry, you didn't." 

This time she turned around, taking a look at him and soaking in all the affection he was giving her. He was gazing at her with loving eyes, a bit of blush coating his cheeks and a soft smile adorning his features. She leaned in to peck his lips, before hiding her face on his chest, her hnds gripping the back of his t-shirt. A comfortable silence reigned in the air, neither of them doing anything to break it. At least, until her stomach grumbled. 

What she heard next, was his laugh.

She pouted, embarassed, before wriggling out of his graps and sitting up. They looked at eachother, in a silent agreement to go make breakfast, before he took her hand and guided her to the kitchen. Both of Kou's siblings were there, already out of their pyjamas, doing their own things.

"Kou-nii-chan, (Y/n)-nee-chan!" Tiara was the first one to notice them, a smile on her face as she run to the both of them. She leaped at her brother, hugging him, and proceeded to ramble about everything she was going to do once she arrived at her kindergarten. It was soon time to leave for her and their older brother, Teru, who was taking her to school.

And once again, they were alone.

Making breakfast went relatively fast, considered all the dancing and messing around, and soon enough, she had dressed and was ready to leave. Or at least, objectively speaking. It was always hard to go, and it always made the both of them a little sad. Of course, they would see each other again at school, but it wasn't the same. They had rules to respect, and so they couldn't be as affectionate as she would have liked.

And so, they had spent the last minute or so hugging, in the middle of his house's doorstep. He was incredibly warm, as always, and his arms were as welcoming as ever. Although she didn't want to, she stepped away from his embrace, placing one of her hands on his cheek and kissing him.

"I guess I'll see you next time." She hummed in agreement, giving his hand one last squeeze before taking off.

okay to be fair even if I did finish it, I would have probably end up publishing this one, since I like to write one day and then proofread and change things a bit the next- this way it's easier to find mistakes or to rewrite sentences that might sound a little weird eirhei

n e ways I promise I'll be finishing that one and try to write a bunch of others tomorrow and in tuesday so I don't interrupt schedule lol
