prompt: you were more than determined to always support him.

this is set after the current arc of tog, so prepare for some more s3 bam

It was weird, not to have a morning meeting for an upcoming battle, or to be able to wake up and have a peaceful breakfast with your friends, without the pit in you stomach being full of fear and anxiety.

After many years, your side had finally come victorious against Jahad's forces, the war was finally over and now all you had to do was to keep climbing the Tower with your team; because the worst part had ended, it had been natural that a lot of your allies had gone on separate ways- it hadn't been a sad goodbye though, you all knew in your hearts that no matter what, you'd be there to help if needed, and that you'd all always be friend (you'd go even far enough to say family for some of them).

Because of that, you had now been travelling for the previous three months with only your team of six (which counted in Bam, Khun, Rak, Hwaryun, Ehwa and you); it had been a delight, but it seemed that the quiet times were coming to an end.

Once your family had gotten ahold of your pocket number, they had called, demanding you came over for dinner so that you could introduce them to your team; if it wasn't bad enough that you would have to introduce them to your boyfriend (who they didn't know existed), they would probably find out you had been associating yourself with FUG for some time now- and mind you, your parents had spent their life devoting it to the king of the tower.
You just knew things would go south as soon as your relatives would hear that.

"Hey love, is everything okay?"

You turned around at the sound of your boyfriend's voice, his gaze fixated on you as he slowly brought a hand to your face; unlike you, who had been sitting on your shared bed for a couple of minutes now, he was laying on it,  his face partly covered by the pillow as his eyes were still clouded by the tiredness.

He was absolutely stunning.

The light of the sunrays, coming from the window, was shining right where Bam was, his beautiful eyes looking like the sun itself, and the shreds of gold in them making them look breathtaking; even with hair sprawled all over the place, he looked absolutely perfect.

"Don't worry dear, I'm just a little worried about next week. I wonder what my parents will say."

His arms found their place around your waist, his face hiding in the nape of your neck as he pressed a couple of kisses on it; he spoke calmly, but you knew better: he was just as nervous as you were, guilt probably eating him alive- seeing how much of an amazing person he was, he surely thought it was his fault if your parents were going to get mad at you.

"Bam, look at me." He gave no sign of listening, his grip tightening as he kept kissing your skin, moving down to continue on your shoulder; you sighed, your hand reaching to tilt his face, so you could take a look at him.

"It's not your fault, and I'll keep telling you that as long as you keep doubting yourself."

He simply smiled, his eyes darting to look at your lips, erasing the distance between the two of you not even a moment later; your hands tangled themselves in his hair, as you let him drag you back to bed.

You had a feeling things were going to be okay.

You ran, your hand glued to Bam's, as you guided him to a safer location; you ignored the gash that travelled through your whole arm, your eyes fixated on the cave right in front of you- you were more than aware of how much your family hated the dark, being that it made it impossible for them to use their powers.

You sat down as soon as you arrived, your head turning to look at your boyfriend to check if he had been injured as well; to his luck, he hadn't, but that didn't mean he was okay.

"I shouldn't have dragged you into this, for you to have to fight against your own family is just cruel."

He wouldn't let you look at him, but you were more than aware of just how sad he was; his shoulders were trembling, his gaze still on your wound, as he fumbled around with the bandages you had snatched just before you escaped from your family's mansion.

"...Why are you still with me? Now you're wounded and your family is trying to kill-" You didn't have the heart to let him finish, your hands coming to grip his forearms as you brushed his bangs out of the way, as gently as you could; when you finally had a clear view of his face, you leaned closer, your foreheads one against the other as you looked at him right in the eyes- you weren't going to let him speak in such a way about himself anymore.

"I don't care about my relatives, not when they tried to hurt the people I care about. When I first entered the Inner Tower, and I got a glimpse of you and our friends, I knew instantly I was going to climb it with you- I decided to follow you, because even then, you shone brighter than anyone else, because of your extreme kindness and love for the people you care about."

You gently cupped his cheeks as you kept talking, wiping away the tears that were streaming down his face; he looked so vulnerable right now, gripping onto you as if you were his anchor- and you didn't mind that, you were ready to do anything for him if it meant seeing him happy.

"I devoted myself to following you, because I firmly believe you're going to be the light this Tower needs; but I also stayed by your side all this time because I don't think I could ever see myself with someone else by my side, not when I love you so much- so please, don't ever think again I'd choose someone who hardly cares about me, when I have you."

"No matter the cost, I will always be truly happy only when I'm with you, my love."

And you did mean that, even now, hiding and clinging to each other as if your life depended on it; even then, when you had tried so desperately to get noticed by him, to become his one and only star; and even when you had finally reunited with him, after thinking he was dead.

How could you not, when you loved him so much?
