Maybe my mind was playing with me a little, Hope was just a friendly human who understands hard relationships. "Get yourself comfortable, darling. I am going to cook something for the both of us." Hope told me, which made me go towards the dining table and sat down at the end of it. The chair was made from basic brown wood, and there was a cushion tied to the back of it so my back couldn't get sore.

"What is on your mind for food, Layla?" she asked me, her head was turned to look at me. "I never had someone cook for me before. What have you got?" I asked her, putting my hands under the table, trying to be polite. "I got some fresh meat that I bought from the store which was today before you came along. And I got fresh vegetables to make a salad." she replied, opening the fridge for me to see that there was chicken, steak and pork.

"I would love some steak. Cook it however you want, I am sure it will be delicious." I said to her, giving her a smile too. "Coming right up." she told me before I began to watch her. I hope she doesn't mind. She had beautiful light blue hair that was down to her shoulders, I wonder how long it takes her to get it that perfect. It looked really soft too. I wanted to touch it but that would be unacceptable behaviour.

Around ten minutes later, she was nearly done as she was finishing it off with some salt and pepper. "And here you go. I hope I haven't overcooked the steak, otherwise that would be embarrassing." she then said with a slight giggle at the end of her sentence. She carried the plate over to me, before placing it down in front of me with a fork and a sharp knife to cut the steak with. Don't worry, I wasn't planning on doing something dumb.

After she sorted me out, I watched her begin to clean the pan in the kitchen sink. I wanted to eat with her, but that was okay for her to do something else. I lifted my hands up onto the table before I picked up the knife and fork, then I began to cut through the steak. "This is cooked perfectly, Hope. Thank you." I complimented her cooking skills. "I am glad to hear that." she said to me back. I can't help myself but to think that there was something going on with Hope. She cooked this amazing meal without any problems whatsoever, and she took really good care of me when I was in a bad state. I shrugged the feeling off, before I placed the mouth-watering steak into my mouth. It even tasted amazing!

I heard Hope chuckle at me once I began to stuff my face with the delicious food that she made me. "Take your time, love. No need to be quick about it." she told me before I began to slow down a bit.

Half an hour later, we were then sat in the living room which was a little bit empty in my opinion. There was a small TV, and one large grey sofa. That was it. Just those two objects. "Why does your house look abandoned when I first saw it?" I asked Hope, who was looking at her nails which were painted a nice red. "Sorry, can you repeat that question?" she asked me back. Okay...I think I just offended her. Oops.

"Sorry for offending you. I didn't mean..."

"You didn't offend me at all. I just wasn't paying attention. I need to book a appointment soon for my nails, that was why I was looking at them." she told me before she looked at my hands. What was wrong with them?

"Do you like having your nails done?" she asked me. "Yeah, I do. But I had a job at a small cafe so I couldn't really have nail polish on. They keep on forcing me to remove them every time I come in." I replied.

"They forced you? How?"

"It's nothing, really. They fired me because they had enough." I told her before she let out a deep sigh, trying to calm down. "What is the cafe called?" she then asked me.

"Bubbles and Tea." I replied. Yeah, it was quite a funny name but who honestly cares? They were complete garbage. Hope nodded before she stood up from the sofa. "Is it still open?"

"It has closed..." I began to trail off, turning my head to check the clock. "Five hours ago. It is only for lunch and breakfast." I told her. "Never-mind. We will go over there tomorrow." she then said before she grabbed my hand suddenly, lifting me up from the sofa.

"I will always be with you, okay? Remember that." she told me in my ear before she wrapped her arms around me, giving me a hug.

U...Um...okay?
