Chapter 7 - Where Did The Time Go?

I felt like a complete jerk. Why did I have to turn her down like that? I liked her, but not in that kind of way! Unless...I have been lying to myself. "Layla, please let me in." Hope started to beg with me through the door. Why do I feel like there was something else going on? I looked at the clock, noticing that it was just...10 pm?! Where did the time go? I just had my breakfast, didn't I? 

I slowly stood up, rising up from my little crying corner to look at the window. Why was it a dark terrifying red? Shouldn't it be black? But wait, as I looked further up, I noticed that there was a moon...but it was a beautiful shade of red. What the hell was happening to this crazy world? What was this? I had so many questions! I...

"Layla...please. I never meant to upset you." Hope continued to beg for me to let her in. Maybe she knows what this 'moon' is. I walked towards my door before I placed my hand on the door handle. Wait a minute, Layla. She was a vampire. Something was telling me that this 'moon' will completely change her into someone you have never seen before. Do not open the door. I took a small deep breath before I accidentally pushed down the door handle as I was walking away from it. "Thank you. Now, give me a cuddle so that you know that I'm sorry for what I did." Hope told me in a gentle tone of voice which sent shivers down my spine. Shit. 

I slowly turned my head a bit to look at Hope...oh my god. Oh no. Oh no no no....

I quickly ran out of the room in complete panic and fear. No way in hell I can survive this. There was no way. I had no idea where to run, I was like a mouse in a little maze since this was a little house. "Why are you running from me, Layla? I want to hug you! And maybe give you a little kiss on the lips, because I know you like me. I can feel your love for me, I can read your mind...I can do all sorts! I am a soft vampire! Please trust me!" I heard Hope say to me as I heard her getting near to where I was which was in the bathroom. Not here! I cannot hide in here! 

I ran out of the bathroom and into another bedroom. I knew who this room belonged to. It was Hope's room. This was a danger zone. Then, I felt my necklace which I completely forgot about, humming against my collar bone.  Can this get even more creepier and crazier? 

"Here I am, baby girl." 

I found my eyes widening at Hope wrapping her arms around my waist from behind, before she ended up picking me up and carried me over to her bed. My legs decided to kick against the air, hoping that it would do something but it didn't. As expected...

I was slowly placed down on the soft mattress which felt like a gigantic pillow as I sank into it. I began whimpering to myself, completely terrified of what was going to happen next. "Right, now that the door is closed, is there something you want to say to me?" Hope asked me, her eyes glowing such a beautiful purple, I cannot actually deny my real hidden feelings to her...

"I am ready to move on with a new relationship. You and me." I told her, my hands going up to support the back of my head. "That is very good to hear. Finally moving on, eh?" she asked me before she sat herself down on me. 

"Yes. I have to, don't I? It is what happens in life." I replied, my lips beginning to curl into a small smile. "That's right. Do you know what this amazing moon is?" 

"What's amazing about it? It is just a moon that is a dark shade of red that lures you in..."

"The red moon that you saw is called a Blood Moon. It makes vampires go a little bit on the wild side for their mate...especially when it is time to claim them."

"C...Claim them? Like me?" 

"Yes, exactly like you. Are you ready to start?"
