Part 2: The Race

Third-person POV:

It was a quiet night in Vale other than the roaring of engines coming from a nearby race where one of the drivers was our good old friend and protagonist Jaune Arc, currently racing for a dodge challenger. Now you might wonder how this race started but, for that, we need to go back thirty minutes.

------------------ thirty minutes earlier-----------------

Jaune POV:

It has been a couple of days since I did that robbery. Everything was normal, no cops, nothing since the owner couldn't identify me and since I had a mask on and there was no witness, I thought while chilling at Junior's with Franklin since I had just finished training with Micheal and I was bored.

"Jaune I wanna ask you something," Said Franklin as he was drinking his beer

"Oh, what is it?" I asked him wondering, what it was about

"How do you feel like going into the racing scene?" Asked Franklin

"Hmm, I guess I can try it out. Is it any good in pay?" I said to him.

"It's alright in pay if you win, so why don't you and I go out and race now since I have gotten wind of a race going down soon in the south part of Vale," Said franklin while finishing his beer.

"Yeah, sure, I'm bored anyway and, I could always go for more lien," I told him while we were getting up and paying for our drinks.

When we got out of the club. I got into my Kuruma, with Frankling and starting to drive to the meeting point for the race.

------- Timeskip to the meeting point----------

After twelve minutes we got to the meeting point for the race and, it was already a lot of people there with a bunch of different cars, but no wonder there was so many people here since there was a Dodge challenger as a prize for first place and five thousand lien for second place.

"You, sure about this Jaune," Said franklin looking at me

"Yea, it might be my first race but, since I said yes to going to the racing scene, this might be better than nothing," I said to franklin as I was beginning to line up at the start.

"Heh, yeah, I guess but, good luck Jaune you will need it," Said franklin as he walked out of the car and went to the sidelines to watch the race.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, I want a clean race so no pushing each other off the road or anything okay and also whoever gets first place gets the dodge challenger and the second place gets five thousand lien," Said a girl who was in the middle of the starter line beginning to count down

"Three"

"Two"

"One," Said the girl as all cars began to drive off at high speed.

--------Timeskip again since I don't know how to write a race------

After fifteen minutes, you could see three cars coming up to the finishing line and in the first place was a black Ford Mustang GT and, in the second place was Jaune arc with a blue Kuruma, and in third place was a Ford F150 XL. After four minutes, the black ford mustang GT won first place, Jaune arc as second and the Ford F150 XL as the third.

"You did good Jaune, you got second place in your first ever race and got five thousand lien," Said franklin as he was hugging me after I got my money.

"I guarantee it was all luck that I even got to second place," I told him while we were walking back to my car.

"Luck or not you still got the second place and, why don't we go and celebrate at Junior's," Said franklin as he and I were stepping into my car and driving off.

"Go back to Junior's again?, sorry but I'm tired maybe tomorrow?" I asked him.

"Alright mate, see you tomorrow," Franklin said as I was dropping him off at his house.

"Yea see you, tomorrow Franklin," I told him while I was driving back to my safe house.

---------And time for another time skip--------------------

My safe house was not special. It was just a small apartment with a bedroom, a bathroom, a couch with a TV, and a kitchen. Nothing special I thought while I was getting ready for bed since it was midnight.

"This has been a good couple of months and especially today, and I hope nothing bad happens tomorrow but, it's tomorrow's problems and not today," I told myself before falling asleep on my bed.
