Lindsay walked into the living room, eyelids glittering as they did the day before, "Alright, boys. Sierra and I split the group into two groups of four. Michael worked with Savana this morning so he gets to sit out."

Sierra held up a piece of paper, "Okay, Lunch duty will be with Lindsay and her group will be Calum, Louis, Niall and Zayn. My dinner group will be Ashton, Harry, Liam and Luke. Any questions?"

After quiet mumbling and a polite denial, Lindsay smiled, "Okay, lunch group, let's go." She walked into the kitchen and turned to the group of boys. "So we're going to make a pasta salad. Theres a job for everyone to do and we can have leftovers as a side for dinner. Sierra already agreed to it. Calum, could you get the cherry tomatoes out of the fridge and cut all of them in half. Niall and Zayn, you two get to work on the noodles. Louis, I'll show you how to make the dressing."

As everyone set to work on their specified jobs, Lindsay couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. She turned towards the sink and saw Niall, "I hope it's okay that Louis and I switched. I wanted to know how to make the dressing and he doesn't know how to make pasta."

"That's alright. As long as we're all doing a job, that's okay." She smiled, "So you're going to add a dash of salt and pepper to the olive oil mixture." She smiled, handing the little shakers to him.

"Uh," He started quietly, "How much is a dash?" He held each shaker in a hand and looked at Lindsay quizzically.

She shook her head and smiled, "It's about half a shake of each. Watch me." She grabbed the shakers and held each one upside down for less that a second, stirring the mixture after each one. "Now, for the olive juice, what you're going to do is drain a little bit of it into the sauce and-"

Niall opened the can and started to pour the juice into the bowl. His hand slipped as he pulled the can away and spilled the olive juice on Lindsay, from the holes in her jeans to her shoes.

"Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. Here let me-"

"No, no, no. It's alright! Spills happen when you cook, it's a part of the process."

My heart has wings
And I can fly

Niall continued to try and clean up the floor with the least amount of paper towels possible. He though to himself, 'Wow, how could I be so stupid? Now she thinks I'm a clumsy moron.' He brought the soaked paper towel right to the toe of Lindsay's shoe, "At least let me clean out your shoe." He took the small ballet flat shoe off her foot and wiped the inside very carefully as to not stretch the material or soak it with too much olive juice.

I'll touch every star in the sky
So this is the miracle

Lindsay held her toe out for Niall to take the shoe and wipe it. She held her foot out for about a minute before Niall finished and placed the shoe back on. He kneeled as he slowly slipped onto her foot. She held onto the counter for balance.

That I've been dreaming of my

Niall stood up quickly, looking at Lindsay. He towered over her, causing her to look up with bright, wide blue eyes. He held her shoulders as he stood less than two inches away from her. "Is that better? Is your shoe sticky anymore?"

So this is love

"N-No, its perfect Niall." She said softly as she looked between his lips and eyes.

"Hey, Lindsay," Calum spoke, breaking her trance with Niall, "What do I do after I cut all the tomatoes?"

She shook her head and walked over, inspecting the tomatoes, "Um, get the spinach out and put about half the container in the bowl that Niall had. Put all the tomatoes in the bowl, too." she rubbed her face, hoping the heat would drain from her cheeks. "How are the noodles going?" She called to Zayn and Louis.

"Really good!" Zayn smiled, "We followed the directions on the box and they turned out nice!" Louis turned to let Lindsay see that they were drained and cooked perfectly. She smiled.

"Okay, now that Calum put all the ingredients in the bowl, in goes the noodles. Louis?" She watched as Louis dumped the pot of noodles into the large bowl. She grabbed a spoon and started stirring everything together. "Okay, Niall, could you get the feta cheese out of the fridge and hand it to me?"

He nodded and rushed to the fridge, avoiding eye contact with her. Lindsay grabbed the feta and sprinkled it all over the pasta salad. She stirred a bit more and dropped the spoon against the side of the bowl. "There you go, boys, you just helped me make lunch." She crossed her arms and looked at them. All four were beaming with happiness and excitement. "Go let everyone know that lunch is ready. I'll dish up."

Lindsay dished all the owls up and the first one in the kitchen was Savana. She jumped up on the counter, putting her hand in something wet and sticky, "So how'd It go?" She asked, shaking her hand dry. She picked up a bowl and stabbed her fork into a noodle.

Lindsay looked at her with widened eyes, "I have a story. A good, good story." She leaned against the far counter and waited for Sierra, knowing she'd let all the boys get their food first.
Once Lindsay saw Sierra, she pulled her sleeve to the side. Lindsay looked at both girls with urgency, "We're gonna watch a movie in the room, okay?" She picked up a bowl and started towards the back room.

Savana jumped off the counter, bowl in hand and food in mouth, and followed Lindsay quickly into the back room. Sierra walked slowly passed the boys and said, "Don't bother us we'll be in the room watching a movie."

Lindsay hurry the girls into the room to shut and lock the door. She breathed a deep sigh of relief and a smile crap across her face. "You'll never believe what happened while we were making lunch." Lindsay sat on the bed as Savana and Sierra leaned forward to listen, "Niall spilled olive juice on me, which, doesn't sound romantic, but I had a Cinderella moment. He took off my shoe to clean the olive juice out and he put it on so delicately. I swear it was magical."

"Okay, Linds," Savana set her bowl down after stuffing her face, "was it 'magical' magical or you being a fangirl?"

"Savana, this was the type of magical you're only seeing a Disney movie. Honestly had the other boys not been there it would've been the perfect moment." Lindsay held her hands over her chest and smiled lazily.

Savana shrugged, "Then I think you should go after him, you know, ask him on a date maybe?" She looked to Sierra who looked at Lindsay.

"Honestly, I think Savana is right. You should ask him out! I know it's only been a few days, but he seems really interested in you." Sierra shrugged like Savana did.

Lindsay shuffled her feet, "I don't know guys he's a super famous boy band popstar. And I'm –"

"A massively famous Instagram personality who has her own modeling contract with Tarte. Stranger things have happened Linds, just go for it! What's the worst that could happen?" Savana smiled.

Lindsay looked at her in shock, "He could reject me and embarrassed me in front of literally everyone else we live with? I don't know guys, I feel like I'd rush everything and I don't want to do that. I'd rather get to know everyone better than just ask him out on the third day of us living here."

Sierra grimaced and looked at Savana, "I mean she has her point, too, but I don't think Savana's entirely wrong. You should definitely try after Niall, but if that doesn't work, that's totally okay! I doubt he'd embarrass you."

Lindsay sighed and picked up her bowl, "I mean, I guess both of you do you have valid points, but I'd rather take it for what it is now then mess everything up in the future. I'd rather live in peace as friends with all of them than date one of them and risk a potential break up which splits all of us. They're all really nice people and really good friends."

"Well, I just think it's a good idea for you to get a foot in the door with Niall," Savana picked up her bowl and stabbed her fork into more noodles, "and I think it's a good idea for me to put these noodles in my mouth before they go bad."

Sierra smiled and looked at her, "They're not gonna go bad with you eating them that fast."

Lindsay giggled that she took her first bite of pasta salad. She kept eating as she thought to herself, 'Maybe getting my foot in the door isn't such a bad idea.'
