Draco woke up but didn't open his eyes. Laying there, he thought of what he told Harry the night before. Harry didn't even get mad. He just smiled and excepted his family despite their mistakes. Draco smiled to himself.

Hearing the bathroom door open, Draco's eyes shot open. His drapes were only partially open, so he saw Harry as he walked past. He must've just gotten out of the shower because he had a towel wrapped around his waist and water dripping down his face from his soaked hair. Draco lost sight of him but knew he'd made it to his wardrobe when he heard it open.

Waiting till he heard the wardrobe close, Draco decided to let Harry know he was awake by fake yawning before opening his drapes completely. He must've surprised Harry because the other boy dropped his glasses. They snapped in half when they made contact with the floor, the lenses spiderwebbed.

"Bloody hell," Harry whispered, bending over to pick up the two pieces.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you," Draco said timidly.

"No, you're fine. This happens often after a shower," he said placing them on his desk before he finished getting dressed. Draco got up and went to his wardrobe and got his uniform ready. Returning to his bed, he dropped his clothes. He turned around in time to see Harry put his glasses on his face.

"How'd you do that," Draco asked with profound curiosity. "They were broke and I didn't hear you muttering any fixing charm, either."

"Hm," Harry put his hand to his chin, pretending to think with a smirk. "Wandless magic," he shrugged and chuckled.

"Oh, wow. You still need to know the spell, though," Draco said, watching the other boy closely.

"I know the spell, Draco. I've been using it for years," Harry shrugged, sitting down at his desk. "Hurry along and wash up, would you? I'm starving."

"Wandless magic is pretty advanced and you grew up with muggles. How have you been using the spell for years? How did you even know it? This conversation isn't over, mind you, but I'm starving, too, so I'll hurry," the blond said before closing the door behind him.

Harry opened the letter that sat on his desk from the night before while he waited. He found it was an envelope inside a slightly bigger envelope. The second envelope read on the front, in beautiful cursive script, 'To Harry on his first day at Hogwarts.' Opening it, enchanted kisses flew out landing on his face, popping like bubbles. Reading the first line, his breath caught in his throat.

'Harry, my beautiful boy,

If you are reading this letter, you've had to grow up without your father and I. It saddens me every time I think of you not having us around. That is a mother's greatest fear. I only hope you don't grow up to blame yourself for what I'm certain has happened. I hope Petunia loves you as much as I do and I hope she also knows just how much I truly love her. I wish I had more time to make things right between us.

Hogwarts will become your second home. It'll be a little overwhelming at first, but, over time, it'll become second nature. No matter where you get placed, you will be outstanding. Your father and I love you so very much, darling. So very much. We will always be with you, even if you can't see us, in your heart and in spirit. Now, enjoy your first day of classes! Very exciting and very important day. I wish you only the best, my beautiful boy.

Lots and lots of love,

Lily

Harry's eyes began to water as he read it again and again. Eventually, Draco stepped out of the bathroom. The blond was yet again oblivious. Once he finished dressing for the day, he turned around to find Harry sobbing softly.
