"Oh my god, did you guys stay up all night, or what," Hermione questioned, bumping her shoulder into Draco's after he yawned again for the fifth time. He all but fell asleep at breakfast.

"Might as well have," Harry mumbled. "After winning the game Saturday night, Slytherin house was basically a none stop party zone. All day and all night, nothing but celebrating happened yesterday. I'm sure we're not the only ones tired, but everyone else did that on purpose. We actually tried to sleep."

Hermione snickered at Harry's grumpiness. It's not often that he actually shows his annoyance. Draco was just dragging his feet. No one could blame him though, Quirrell's class was boring, all they did was read and copy the text.

"Yeah, my house was slightly less enthusiastic than usual yesterday, but they put on a good game," Hermione said as they approached Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Entering the classroom, Quirrell was already sitting behind his desk, the reading assignment on the board. Harry and Draco took their usual seats at the top left of the classroom. Hermione sat at the table right next to Draco, across the isle.

They had been sitting there for what felt like hours, but was really only thirty minutes. Draco had rested his head on his right hand, arm propped up to block himself from Quirrell's view. Harry smiled to himself when he noticed Draco was fast asleep.

He looked up when he heard a faint gasp, seeing his professor stand suddenly from his chair. Following Quirrell's gaze, Harry saw Dumbledore standing at the door with Draco's father. Professor Snape appeared in the doorway to Quirrell's office. Harry quickly tried to wake Draco, but the blond was out of it.

"Good morning, students. I apologize for interrupting your reading, but this class is hereby dismissed. Have a fantastic day," Dumbledore said nonchalantly.

The rest of the class got up immediately and left rather quickly. Harry was trying his hardest to get Draco awake. By the time the blond finally woke up, they were the only students left in the room. Draco looked around with wide eyes, they only grew larger when he spotted his father at the door.

Lucius made eye contact with his son and fear crossed his face. Before he could say anything, Quirrell acted fast and snatched Draco by the shoulder, putting him in a headlock with his wand pointed at Draco's head.

"What're you doing here, Albus," Quirrell growled, sounding completely different than what Harry was accustomed to. Draco tried to escape but Quirrell only tightened his grip, smirking when he saw Lucius twitch. "Am I making you sweat, Lucius?"

"Good morning, Quirinus. I thought perhaps we could have a chat, in private. Please release the boy so the adult can have the room," Albus asked sounding bored. At this point, Harry had already drawn his wand and Lucius was pointing his directly at Quirrell.

"You haven't answered my question, Albus, that's so rude," Quirrell pouted, but his pout quickly turned to a sneer. "You have Severus standing guard in my office and Lucius placed at the door, you're afraid I'm going to run."

"Yes, but I have to say, I didn't expect you to take a student hostage. That's very low, Quirinus, even for someone like you," Dumbledore said, taking slight steps forward with every word.

"My Master expects me to do what I have to by any means," he growled, digging his wand into Draco throat. Draco gasped and his eyes grew wide, looking between Harry, Lucius, and Dumbledore.

Harry turned to look at Lucius. Once he established eye contact, he tried to relay his thoughts to the older man. Lucius must have understood because he gave Harry a very slight nod, almost indistinguishable.
