Dream of me again. [COMPLETED]

Chapter 1

9:47 AM. March 5, 2020.

"EXCUSE ME!!!"

I shoved all the people blocking my way as I run towards the meeting room. I wanted to apologize to them but I'm afraid it will only consume my time.

People gave me weird stares. Some looked annoyed and pissed at my sudden interuption and loud voice while some looked at me as if I could be the next talk of the town or perhaps a new meme in social media. Nevertheless, I rushed to my destination. I couldn't care less of those faces and attitudes, I have an important problem to solve. That important problem is my job, which is at stake today.

I couldn't help but to curse inside and silently scolds myself for being irresponsible in my job. 

Syeteng malupet late na ako!

Kung minamalas ba naman kasi, nasiraan pa ako ng kotse. At hindi lang ito isang ordinaryong araw sa trabaho ko, DITO NAKASALALAY ANG BUHAY KO!

With exaggeration removed, I'm not on the brink of my life yet. But my whole life could change after this day. 

Okay lang sana kung normal na araw lang, pero bakit ngayon pa ako nasiraan ng kotse kung kailan ako pa ang naatasang gumawa ng powerpoint presentation sa meeting ng mga higher-ups?! The fact that my car is still new that I just bought last month makes me think of my capabilities in driving.

I run with all my might while silently praying that the meeting hasn't started yet. I'm sure my boss will kill me if I'm late, not literally.

Halos maiyak na ako dito sa hallway dahil sa pangamba na baka mawalan ako ng trabaho ngayon.

Please! I badly need this job!

Hinihingal pa ako nang makarating sa meeting room. Tumigil muna ako sa tapat ng pinto at sinuklay ang buhok gamit ang mga daliri ko. Inayos ko rin ang medyo nagusot kong blouse at bumilang ng tatlo bago pumasok sa loob.

Isa.

Dala-

"SHEEZY!"

Napatalon ako sa gulat nang bumukas ang pinto at lumabas ang isang hindi ko kilalang babae na may katandaan na at sa likod nito ay ang boss ko na matalim ang tingin sa akin. Mukhang hindi naman napansin ng babae ang presensya ko at nakatingin pa rin sa boss ko habang maaliwalas ang mukha.

Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag nang mawala ang tingin sa akin ng boss ko at malungkot na bumaling ito sa babae, "Thank you Ma'am for visiting our company, and we're very sorry for the commotion earlier."

Ngumiti naman ng matamis ang babae na parang sinasabing okay lang ang lahat.

Shocks ang bait niya! Mukha siyang anghel galing sa langit!

"It's okay..." Gumaan ang pakiramdam ko dahil sa sinabi niya, pero nagbago bigla ang ekspresyon ng mukha niya at naging masungit. Parang anghel na naging demonyo sa isang iglap, "but you know that you failed to present it smoothly and I am not impressed." And with that, she walked out of the hallway with the sound of her stilletos echoing, leaving me with my boss that is close to crying.
