My mind is occupied by so many questions. I can't even process what happened earlier. Why is this happening to me?

How can I be so clueless?

I never thought that I would really end up with him. I definitely look like a clown right now. I feel so dumb.

"What are you up to at the moment, Mister Silverio? What's your profession again?" Ang pagtanong ni Aunt Katherine sa katabi kong lalaki ngayon.

"I took a vacation and left work for three months. Even though I left the company for a long time, I made sure that everything is well taken care of. I check it from time to time to make sure that everyone is doing their jobs. I'll be returning as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Silverio and Garcia Corporation." Ang mahaba niyang litanya. Nakailing lamang ako at tinutusok-tusok ang pagkain gamit ang tinidor.

Wala akong ganang kumain. Nanlalamig din ang aking katawan kaya hindi ako makakilos nang maayos. We're currently having the formal dinner in the Ramses Hall of the Chateau.

Vacation. Akala ko ba ay sa Switzerland siya pumunta? Bakit nandoon siya sa Pinas?

I felt amazed that he can pretend that he's alright even though there's a lot of pressure coming to him. Kanina pa nagtatanong-tanong si Aunt Katherine.

"Are you aware that my nephew cannot bear a child? What are your future plans about having a family?"

He nodded. "Yes, I've been aware since then. There are other ways to have children but even though I want a family, I cannot pursue that on my own because it's our decision as a couple."

I started to grip the mantel of the table because of what he said. Why does he have to be so perfect? Tapos ako...

Tapos ako pabigat lang sa kanya.

"Did you ever had girlfriends before my daughter?" This time it was my Mom who asked him. Pinandilatan ko siya ng mata at ngumiti lang siya sa akin.

Can we please skip this part of the dinner?

"After knowing that I'm going to marry Celaine, I focused more on my studies and myself to be the perfect husband for her. But there was this person who I fell in love with even though I just knew her for a short period of time..."

"She's got that skin white as porcelain and pretty eyes that were always hiding something. She was humble and down-to-earth even though she came from a life of luxury." He said passionately. Nagtinginan naman kaming lahat.

"What happened to your love story then?" Ang tanong ulit ni Mom.

"I knew she liked me back but she has too much respect for herself. She knew I had to marry someone that's why she left me too soon without even knowing the truth." He answered bitterly.

"But I'm glad that I will be ending up with her after all." He added and turned his gaze on me. My body started to feel the heat as I removed my stare at him. Hindi ko na kaya. Parang magkakasakit ako dahil sa halo-halong mga emosyon na nararamdaman ko ngayon.
