*Slight lemon at the beginning of this chapter*
It was the first morning of Barry being back home after being in prison. I decided I would do something special as a way to celebrate his return.
I got up an hour before Barry's alarm would go off at 8:00am. I threw on a pair of sweatpants and a sweater before putting my hair into a messy bun and walking quietly down the hall and down the stairs. I put my favorite playlist on shuffle and kept the volume low as I rummaged through the fridge for some ingredients. I decided to make an array of different breakfast items, buffet style. That was Barry's favorite. I got out all the pots and pans (making as minimal noise as possible), and began cooking.
I sped around the kitchen, stirring, whisking, mixing, etc (basically any kitchen cooking task you could think of). While I was waiting for pancakes to flip and eggs to scramble, I sped over to the sink and did some dishes. The last item I needed to cook was the bacon and sausage, which I had done in no time.
When all the food was prepared I sped over to the table, setting it and laying out all the items. I even had a little extra time to spare and sped over to Jitters to get Barry's favorite coffee.
By the time I finished cooking and had everything ready, I could hear Barry's footsteps as he approached the landing. I was carrying the twins' high chairs over to the table when I noticed Barry looking at me from the landing at the top of the stairs. His hair was in a tangled mess, and he rubbed his eyes. He too threw on an outfit. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a S.T.A.R Labs T-Shirt.
"What's all this?" Barry asked softly in his morning voice as he came down the stairs. A large smile appeared on my face as he examined the table. He took a few steps forward and pulled me in for a hug.
"A little treat. It is your first day back," I replied with a smile. I gave him a peck on the lips and turning around to go back into the kitchen. Barry followed.
"Definitely a treat," Barry replied as he watched me carry the tray of Jitters coffee into the kitchen. I could feel his eyes on me. I could tell he was appreciative of my gesture. He didn't even have to say the words.
"I was surprised to see the twins were still sleeping," I replied as I pulled out my chair and sat down, adjusting the dishes infront of me. I motioned for Barry to sit as well. He stepped away from the counter he was leaning against and joined me at the table.
"They seemed very tired last night. But who could've blamed them with the excitement of Joe's party...". I nodded in agreement. I began to place food on my plate. "Not to mention they wanted to stay up and play all night...I'm just glad they finally went down," Barry replied as he grabbed a plate and began to fill it with my breakfast surprise. I ended up making a wide variety of breakfast items: eggs, crepes, pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, english muffins, potatoes, and even a fruit salad. I got coffee from Jitters, and had a big pitcher of orange juice as well. "It's nice though, being able to have this time to ourselves. It's not that I don't like having the twins around, it's just hard finding time to be alone." Barry began to dig into his plate. He clearly was hungry. That was something else I understood, considering he hasn't had actual food in a few days.
"I get that...Especially when you've been gone for a few days, and with DeVoe being so unpredictable..." I said with a nod. I took a bite of my eggs and bacon. It was my favorite breakfast too...Classic.
"I'm just happy to be focusing on the task at hand..." Barry said as he scarfed his last bite of breakfast down. My eyes went wide. He usually eats pretty fast, but not this fast. I couldn't believe it. I was barely halfway done with my plate by the time he finished his.
"Hungry?" I asked, eyebrows raised. Barry began to fill up his second plate, piling on the eggs and hashbrowns high. He nodded in agreement as he licked his lips
"I missed regular food...You can only eat prison pudding for so long..." Barry replied as he took a big bite. I chuckled. "And you make the best breakfast i've ever had". I blushed at his words.
A little while later after Barry and I finished our breakfast and conversation, I went into the kitchen to clean up our dishes. I could feel Barry's presence as he leaned up next to the sink against the counter. I didn't know why he was so close. All I was doing was dishes. I figured he'd be up checking on the twins by now. He already gave me a kiss as usual and thanked me for everything, so I didn't know what he wanted.
"Yes..." I said in a suspicious tone as I turned in his direction with raised eyebrows, continuing to scrub the plate in my hand. His arms remained crossed as he wore a stare. His eyes didn't seem to leave my gaze.
"The twins are still sleeping..." he replied softly as he took a step towards me and pressed his body against mine roughly. My back was up against his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close. By this time, I had a slight indication of what he was thinking about. "That's a rarity". Barry's hands trailed lower down my stomach as his head rested on my shoulder. Barry turned his head so his lips brushed against my ear. The sensation of his lips so close made my knees go weak. He had that kind of power over me. My breathing became slightly heavier as the tension began to build. I placed the plate down slowly that I was washing in the sink. I wasn't about to break it. If there was any chance of the twins still sleeping, that would wake them up for sure. And in terms of the direction this was going, I was sure I didn't want any interruptions.
"I'm in the middle of--" I replied before Barry gently placed a kiss to my neck. I stumbled on my words as my breathing hitched.
"I just got out of prison..." Barry whispered. "I missed my wife...". I began to breathe heavier as Barry's hands trailed down my sweater sleeve and tugged at the bottom hem of my sweater. He turned me around as I met his electric green, hungry eyes. I gulped. I've never seen this type of emotion in Barry's eyes before. It was something I had never seen. It wasn't as intense as anger or aggression, but was different from his usual twinkly gaze. It seemed more passionate...More desperate...More abrupt...
In a matter of seconds, Barry leaned in sharply, our lips colliding roughly. Barry spun me around quickly and pushed me up against the counter, our lips never parting. My hands roamed up and down his chest as his hands continued cupping my cheeks. Our lips parted for a split second as Barry lifted me onto the counter gently, pressing himself into my body again once more as he stood in between my legs. I wrapped my legs around his torso as we continued to kiss, the kisses becoming rougher and rougher as if it were a contest. Barry bit my lip as we continued to battle for dominance. His kisses trailed down my neck and back up to my lips as my hands met the nape of his neck and my gaze focused on the ceiling. Barry brought his lips back to mine as we continued to kiss roughly. Shortly after he disconnected our lips for a moment as he lifted off his shirt, revealing his toned figure. He then smirked before helping me remove my sweater, his hands resting on my clothed hips. He began to untie his sweatpants as I began sliding off mine. I wrapped myself around him once again, this time his grip around me becoming tighter.
