As I straightened the boys outfits for their concert tomorrow, Luke came up to me.
"Hey Maddie! Look, thank you so much for putting up with us, we're pretty messy." Luke laughed.
"Oh it's no problem. You guys aren't that bad!" I replied.
"Yeah well thanks for putting up with Calum. He can be a bit of an ass sometimes."
"Sometimes?" I replied.
"Hey, he wasn't always like this ok? He was the sweetest thing and would always comply to our rules. I guess fame has changed him for the worst." Luke explained.
I looked down at my feet trying to dismiss this awkward moment. Finally I spoke.
"What do you mean 'you guess fame has changed him for the worst'? You couldn't do anything about it? Did you even try?" I asked.
"I don't know." Luke answered. "I mean we all saw it coming...we just didn't know it would be Calum."
"My money was on Michael." Ashton stated as he popped out from behind the wall.
"HEY I HEARD THAT!" Michael shouted from the back room.
"Well" Luke started, "Thanks for everything. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah see you tomorrow." Ashton said.
"Oh yeah, your welcome." I replied. "See you tomorrow."
Michael walked in with his dinner he had ordered earlier.
"Bye Maddie!" "See you tomorrow."
"Bye Michael." I smiled.
I started to gather my stuff.
As I headed out the door Calum called after me.
"MADELINE WAIT!"
I turned around and sighed.
"Ugh what Calum? What is it this time?" I questioned sarcastically.
"You can't go!" Calum yelled looking very upset.
"Why not?" I became concerned.
"You're not leaving here till you get this diii-"
"CALUM HONESTLY YOUR THE MOST RUDE, IMMATURE, AND DISRESPECTFUL PERSON I'VE EVER MET. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN TO GROW UP. DONT YOU KNOW THAT YOUR BANDMATES CARE ABOUT YOU AND THEY HATE SEEING YOU THIS WAY? AND HOW DARE YOU BREAK EMILY'S HEART. SHE IS THE ONE WHO WAS ALWAYS KIND TO YOU NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF AN ASSHOLE YOU WERE, AND NOW YOUV'E LOST THAT. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW CALUM?" I yelled at him.
Calum was taken by surprise.
"It was just a joke." He quietly replied.
"Yeah. Just like everything else in your life. And if everything is a joke to you, Calum, then what's real?"
Calum looked at me. Completely silent.
"I'll see you tomorrow." I stated, and quickly fled out the door.
