The tournament was cancelled in response to the kidnapping of the royal family. Many of the audience grumbled about this, wanting to see who will be the final victor, but they quickly shut up when they caught the eye of the steely-eyed royal guards.
Since the tournament was cancelled, the remaining 7 contestants were unsure of what will happen with the prize.
The ones who were eliminated due to low scores, was Choi Sang and Hak Myung. What happened to Bora is still unknown, however, rumour says that he had been sedated and is now facing charges of crimes against the crown.
They even had Jungkook come with them, but when he came back, he told them that he was sworn to never tell anyone what had happened. Jungkook seemed fine though, so Yoongi supposes it was a matter of privacy.
Now, they were back in the Alphas room while palace members and construction crews repaired the arena as much as they could.
The royal family had visited the royal doctor, to make sure that they weren't harmed in any way. The remaining seven alphas were waiting for them to come back with news on how things are going to go from now on.
"Do you think we still get a chance to win the prize?" Yoongi asks sleepily, dozing off in the warm sunlight by the window.
"I dunno, they might just cancel the whole thing all together. I wouldn't blame them." Kai says, flipping through one of the many books in the Alpha room.
Jungkook was already asleep in one of the couches, snoring lightly while murmuring the second prince's name every few minutes. Yoongi scoffs under his breath.
"He's really whipped isn't he?" Kai's voice breaks Yoongi out of his reverie. When Yoongi looked at him, Kai shrugged. "The second prince. He likes him, doesn't he?" Yoongi shrugs. "Maybe. I think I saw them a couple of times talking."
Kai smiles mischievously. "Did you know that one time I overheard some of the other guys talking about how the prince already likes someone?" Yoongi snapped his head to stare at Kai.
"He likes someone?" Kai smirks and nods. "Who?" Yoongi asks again, and Kai opens his mouth to answer when the door opens and the crown prince walks in, accompanied by several guards.
Everyone immediately stands up, Yoongi too, blinking rapidly to chase away the drowsiness from his eyes.
A moment of panic ensues when he realizes Jungkook is still sleepily soundly. Then he lets out a snore and turns over onto his side. Yoongi motions to Kai who as discreetly as he could, pinched Jungkooks thighs hard.
Jungkook woke up with a start, eyelids droopy as he squinted at Kai. "Whut?" When doesn't answer, Jungkook looks around the room, and when he sees Jimin, he noticeably pales.
He jumps up and quickly goes to stand next to Yoongi, face red with embarrassment. Yoongi could see Jimin smiling a bit, before the smile is gone and the prince is straightening up.
"As you know, the tournament has been cancelled. I know that the four of you who have yet to lose or have yet to fight are probably wondering about the prize."
Yoongi, Jungkook, Kai and Dae all looked at each other. Will they get another chance to fight?
"So, I've decided to host a mini competition, that is not fight based." Jimin looked at them seriously as the four of them held their breath.
"I'm going to be testing you on your cooking skills. And don't worry, you won't be eliminated or anything. This is just to decide who is going to go on vacation with me!" Yoongi breathed a sigh of relief. This was good. He was pretty good at cooking.
"To make it fair, I will come up with a theme or a specific dish, and I'll ask you to make it. The ones that was the most pleasing will advance to the next round. The one who isn't as pleasing, will be eliminated, but not from the competition, so don't worry!" Jimin smiled.
"It will start tomorrow, and I'll give you the first theme. Dessert." Jimin then left, the guards following behind and closing the door.
Immediately, the rest of the contestants swarmed Yoongi, Kai, Jungkook and Dae, asking them what they are going to make.
"Ah, I think I kinda screwed for this." Kai sighs, tipping his head back. "I suck at cooking." He turned his head towards Yoongi and Jungkook. "I'll help you guys since I'm basically dead meat for this competition anyways." Yoongi frowned.
"I'm sure you're not that bad." Kai chuckled and waved his hand. "Trust me, my parents try to keep me away from the kitchen at all costs."
The door opened again, and a man popped his head in. He spies the four of them and made a beckoning move with his hand before slipping out of sight. Curiously, the four of them followed the man outside the room.
It turns out to be the head chef.
"I'm sure Jimin has told you what you will be doing?" He asks, and the four of them nodded.
"Um, Mr. Chef?" Jungkook says, holding up his hand. The man chuckled at the name he was called. "You can just call me Jin." Jungkook nodded.
"Jin hyung, are you going to teach us?" Jin chuckled before nodding.
"Yup! I got to get you guys ready in case some of you don't know how to cook!"
