When Yoongi left the room, Jimin's mother crowded close to her son.

"My dear, he's the one, isn't he?" Jimin nodded, fidgeting shyly with his blanket. "Yeah," he whispered back. His mother smiled and sat back. "Then this means that the competition is over, right?"

Jimin nodded, feeling relieved. To be honest, the competition should have ended a long time ago.

"Then this also means I can have Jungkook right?" Taehyung says, and Jimin and the Queen both look at him.

"What? Jiminie already eliminated him, and he likes me too." Taehyung defended, and Jimin laughed. "I didn't expect that, but it's okay. You probably want to talk to him after this, right?" Taehyung nodded eagerly before rushing off.

Their mother laughed fondly as Taehyung raced out of the room. "I better get going and leave some visiting time for Jin and Namjoon."

"They're outside?" Jimin asked with wide eyes. The Queen nodded. "Yes, they were really worried too you know." She got up, pushing back the chair she was sitting in. She gave Jimin a kiss on his forehead and whispered, "get better my dear."

She left, and a moment later, Jin and Namjoon came in through the door.

Jin was tearing up when he sees Jimin sitting up in the bed. He hurried over and clasped Jimin's hands in his own.

"I was so happy when I heard that you were awake!" Jin cried, pulling Jimin into a hug. Namjoon came from behind and put a hand on Jin's shoulder. "He cried all day when he heard you know."

Jin sniffled wetly and slapped Namjoons arm. "Oh shush,"

Namjoon shared how the trial was going to work, since he was the head advisor.

"It will be conducted in private, a requirement coming from your mother, considering the nature of Minjae's family, and the influence they have on the city. Who knows what might happen, and I definitely don't want any excuse that could possibly make Minjae's sentence shorter." Namjoon explained.

"So Minjae's going to jail?" Namjoon nodded. "That seems like the most likely outcome. Of course, there is a possibility of a worse sentence, but since Minjae's rich, I would estimate a maximum of 25 years in jail." Jimin sighed.

"And if his parents pay money to the state then there will be a smaller sentence?" Namjoon nodded, confirming Jimin's fears.

"Unfortunately, this is how it is with status. Of course, since you are the prince, you are able to extend the sentence or worsen it. If you don't, there is a chance that the trial will proceed normally." Namjoon further explained.

Jimin really wanted to extend and worsen Minjae's sentence, but he doesn't want to kill him.

"What's the maximum possible sentence?" He asked, and Namjoon smirked.

"Life."

During the trial, Jimin was escorted into the room, Jimin walking gingerly as his wounds were still tender. He could see Minjae's family sitting in the front row, with the judges waiting.

Then entire room stood up with the exception of Minjae's family and bowed, before Jimin settled down.

When Jimin was done, the judge banged the hammer to quiet down the room.

"Silence!" He barked, and the room fell into a hushed whisper.

"We have gathered here today to witness the trial of Park Minjae. As per Her Majesty's request, this trial is to be done in secret, and no information regarding this trial will be released into the public. If this should occur, a fine of 1,000,000 won will be charged."

He looked around the courtroom before proceeding.

"Park Minjae, has been accused of attempting to murder The Royal Selection contestant Min Yoongi." He nodded his head towards Yoongi, who was sitting in the witness chair close to the judging table.

"However, in the situation that occurred, his highness had moved with the intention of protecting the witness, which resulted in his own body being harmed." Gasps rose from the small selected crowd, making Minjae's face glower.

"Does the accused have anything to say for themselves?" Minjae looked down at his feet, lips pressed into a hard line. He looked livid at being humiliated like this. He caught Jimin's stare and glared at him. Jimin met his gaze, challenging him to make any rash decisions. Eventually, Minjae bowed down and curled in on himself.

The only thing that can save him now is his parents money after a few years in jail.

"What does the witness have to say that will contribute to this trial?" All eyes turned to Yoongi, who stood up when realizing that the judge was referring to him.

"After his highness had woken up, he had shared with me that Minjae had previously threaten to harm me, and that the reason he didn't tell anyone was because he was afraid someone would get harmed."

The judge turned to Jimin. "Is this true?" Jimin nodded. "Yes."

The judge stood up with an air of finality. "Then by the decree of the state, I hereby sentence Park Minjae to 60 years in prison."

The moment he says those words, Minjae's parents are up and yelling ferociously.

"How dare you?!" Minjae's mother screamed, shaking a pointed finger at the judge, or looked unimpressed. "We are the Park family! We own almost half-,"

"But you are not as powerful as the Royal Family. Don't forget, a third of your money comes from them." Namjoon interrupts, face stony as he glared disapprovingly at Minjae's family.

Minjae is taken away in chains, and Namjoon allows Jimin to run to Yoongi, who hugs him tightly.

"It's over isn't it?" Jimin asks breathlessly, and Yoongi squeezes him tightly.

"It's officially over."
