Even though Minjae had warned Jimin that there would be consequences if he would try to talk to Yoongi, Jimin figured he had to try.

Minjae could keep an eye on him forever, after all, the palace was his home, not Minjae's.

But that doesn't prevent Jimin from trying to talk to Yoongi in places away from windows, because that's pretty much the only place someone could have access inside the palace.

It couldn't be any of the guards, for Jimin knows every single one of them.

He managed to snag a chance when everyone had retired to their rooms at night. He ran quickly towards Yoongis room, checking to make sure no one was around before knocking on Yoongi's door.

When Yoongi opened the door, his eyes widen upon seeing him, and he tries to slam the door. Without a second to spare, Jimin sticks his foot through the opening of the door, preventing Yoongi from closing it completely. It hurt, but it was worth it.

"Please." Jimin has begged, peering through the crack at Yoongi's face. "I need to talk to you."

Yoongi's mouth was in a flat line, but he relented, stepping back and allowing Jimin to enter. He took one last look around the halls before closing the door behind him.

"What do you want." Yoongi had said with no emotion. It stung, if Jimin was being honest. Jimin didn't know what to say. Tell Yoongi what Minjae had threatened to hurt him? Risk it actually happening?

And so Jimin decided to say the dumbest thing that occurred to him.

"You....weren't supposed to see that last night." Jimin nearly slapped a hand over his mouth in horror. His damn mouth.

Yoongi had simply scoffed. "I think that was pretty obvious." Oh shit, Yoongi got it wrong.

"That-that's not what I mean!" Jimin cried, reaching forward to touch Yoongi on his shoulder. Yoongi recoiled back.

"Then what did you mean?" He bellowed, making Jimin flinch. He was clenching his fists in rage, face looking thunderous.

"You didn't mean for me to see? To know that you've been lying to me the entire time?!" Jimin started to tear up. This wasn't how it supposed to go.

"No! It's not like that!"

Jimin didn't like the way Yoongi was looking more and more hopeless with every second. When Yoongi uttered the next words, Jimin felt his heart drop.

"I wanna leave." Jimin stared at Yoongi, not believing the words that just came out of Yoongi's mouth.

Jimin bit his lip harshly. "You can't." He whispered weakly, lip wobbling as he tried to keep his tears from falling.

Yoongi glared at him. It made the omega inside him whine in misery and pain. "Why not? Why can't I leave? Do you still want to torture me by making me watch you crown Minjae as King? What's the purpose of you keeping me here?" Jimin kept his mouth shut, his head lowering in shame.

"I......" Jimin trailed off, deciding it's better to just keep his mouth shut.

"At least tell me why you tricked me." Jimin let out a small gasp that Yoongi couldn't hear. Jimin couldn't tell him. Who knows what could happen? Jimin would rather die then allow Yoongi to get hurt. "I-I can't tell you."

Yoongi snorts. "So you won't tell me why and you won't let me leave. Fucking fantastic." Yoongi sighed while Jimin fidgets with his clothes.

"Get out." Those words felt like lightening in Jimin's body. He couldn't speak. He finally managed to squeeze out, "W-what?"

Yoongi glared at him. "Get. Out."

Jimin nodded, and left, closing the door behind him. He suppressed a sob, running away from the direction of Yoongi's room.

Unbeknownst to him, Yoongi was suffering the same he was.

He had tried again over the course of several days, but he was met with defeat each time.

He finally spotted another chance when he spotted Yoongi walking alone in the hallway.

Taking a shortcut, Jimin hid in a room and waited for Yoongi to pass by.

When Yoongi was in arms length, Jimin quickly reached out and dragged him into the room, eliciting a startled yell from Yoongi.

"What the hell Jimin!" Yoongi had yelled, and Jimin bit his lip apologetically. "I need to talk to you-," he was cut off when Yoongi raised a hand to silence him.

"What could you possibly say?" Jimin opened his mouth, but a voice in his head chimed, he's right, what can you say? You can't say anything.

When Jimin didn't say anything, Yoongi rolled his eyes and turned around to leave. In a desperate last attempt, Jimin lunged foreword and hugged Yoongi's arm to his body, preventing him from leaving.

"Yoongi! Please! Listen to me!" Jimin cried, his voice thick and on the verge of crying. He could see Yoongi hesitate.

Then the door opened and two figures Jimin recognizes as Kai and a maid stumbled through, giggling together.

They stopped when they see them, and Yoongi took this chance to rip his arm out of Jimins hold and storm out.

Jimin allowed his arms to hang limply at his sides as he stared into the empty space where Yoongi had disappeared.

It didn't hurt, to see Kai and the maid together. The boy was smart, and knew that Jimin held no interest in him. He didn't, however, know what was going on.

They left, making sure to leave Jimin alone in the room.

Jimin sank to the floor and wrapped his arms around his knees and his his face in them.

There really wasn't anything else to do, other than make sure Yoongi stays out of harms way. But how can he do that? How can he ensure Yoongi's safety?
