Yoongi flinched when glass pieces shattered around him, hugging the body of Jimin close to him. His body tensed, eyes squeezed shut.

When the glass stopped shattering and sliding across the floor, Yoongi opened his eyes.

At first his view was hazy, dust floating around in the air. He looked down at Jimin's body I'm his arms, shaking him gently. "Jimin."

The omega doesn't move. Yoongi shakes him more insistently. "Jimin!" Again, the omega doesn't move, laying limply in Yoongi's arms. Frantically, Yoongi turns Jimin around, so he could see his face clearly.

That's when he sees it; a dark red colour staining Jimin's clothes and progressively growing larger every second.

Then the shattering of the windows made sense. And if it hit Jimin, who ran at him to knock him down, then that means they were targeting Yoongi. With all the strength Yoongi could muster, he stood up, careful not to touch the injured area and ran for cover under the largest table.

He laid Jimin gently on the ground. Ripping off a piece of cloth from his clothes, he pressed it against Jimin's gunshot wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

"No no no," Yoongi chanted, brushing a lock of hair from Jimin's face. "Wake up, wake up darling," Jimin's eyes rolled to the back of his head, his eyelids half closed. Yoongi looked around frantically. He could see the other contestants and the Queen along with some guards hiding in spots around the room.

Where were the other soldiers? Where was the medic? His Jimin was bleeding out for Christ sakes!

He looked back down at Jimin's still body, caressing his cheeks and peering worriedly across the room. Why was it taking so long for help to arrive?

Tears rolled down Yoongi's face, the hatred and pain he felt towards Jimin vanishing the moment Jimin took that bullet for him. Now that Jimin was wounded, Yoongi recalled back to the time where Jimin tried to talk to him so many times.

He must've had something to tell me. Yoongi thought, hating himself for not listening during that time. Maybe if I listened Jimin wouldn't be dying right now.

Finally, their room was secured by guards, and Yoongi crawled from beneath the table, frantically trying to find someone who could help him.

He felt a hand on his shoulder, and spun around to see Hoseok. His shoulder sagged as he gripped his friends arm tightly. "Hoseok." He begged. "You have to help him-, he-he's bleeding." Hoseok took one look at Jimin, sword under his breath, and helped Yoongi drape the unconscious prince over Hoseoks back.

Hoseok then took off, running towards the medical centre.

Now that Jimin was gone and no longer in his arms, Yoongi stood there, dumbly as guards rush past him. He could see the Queen and Taehyung looking around frantically for Jimin. They were told by a guard to go to the medical bay, and rushed off.

Yoongi sat on the ground, trying to grasp what had happened.

All he remembered was Jimin reading out his name, Minjae cocking his head, the window shattering....

Shit.

Yoongi perked up, brought back to attention by the fact that Minjae had just tried to kill him, and by the way Jimin had been acting the last few days, Jimin knew. He knew and he tried to tell him, but being the stupid ass Yoongi was, he completely ignored him.

Damn, Yoongi knew Minjae was off from the start, but he didn't know how off he was.

When Yoongi didn't see Minjae in the room, that's when his suspicions were confirmed. But will anyone believe me? He needs Jimin to wake up as soon as possible.

He barely sees it when Jungkook and Kai run over, worry painting their faces when they see the blood on Yoongi's shirt.

"Yoongi? Are you okay?" Jungkook cried as he knelt beside his brother, his hands clutching Yoongi's arm. Yoongi looked at Jungkook blankly before looking down at the blood stain on his shirt.

"Jimin." He mumbled simply, but Jungkook understands, his eyes widening. "What happened?"

Yoongi recounted what he thought, in a monotone voice. He just feels so damn tired. "So in the end Minjae tried to kill you." Yoongi nodded. "But you need Jimin awake to verify the truth and expose him." Another nod.

Jungkook exhaled. "Fuuuuuuck. And where's Minjae?" Yoongi shrugged, eyes blank from shock. It was traumatizing to see Jimin bloody and unmoving.

Jungkook sighed, kneeling down to hoist his older brother into a piggyback position. As Jungkook started to walk out of the room, Kai ran up, looking frazzled.

"What happened?" Kai exclaimed, looking at Yoongi worriedly. "I heard some noise here so I came back."

"Minjae." Jungkook gritted out, hiking Yoongi further up his body. Kai understood and hurried along to the medical bay.

When they got there, Jungkook set Yoongi on one of the chairs in the bay. Seeing the Queen and Taehyung waiting by the doors anxiously, Jungkook rushes over with Kai in tow.

"Is the prince okay?" Jungkook asked, and Taehyung and his mother shared a look.

"Jiminie is...in surgery." Taehyung replied hesitantly. "The doctors said he lost a lot of blood, so they are worried there will be some complications."

"Is it blood?" Kai asked, Taehyung shaking his head. "No, we have enough blood." Kai looked at Jungkook before blurting, "it was Minjae."

The Queen cocked an eyebrow. "That's a risky accusation you made there." Kai sucked in a breath. "I saw him right before the windows exploded. He looked incredibly mad even though he wasn't eliminated. He also made a weird gesture that somebody outside the windows could see, as well as the fact that he had seemed to threaten Jimin with something." Jungkook caught onto what Kai was saying.

"Yeah! At the same time we noticed Yoongi being sad all the sudden, even though he returned from the trip incredibly happy." The Queen looked at them sternly for a few seconds before motioning to the guards.

"Find Park Minjae as soon as possible. When you find him, put him in a holding cell." The guards saluted her before leaving. She turned back to the two boys and looked at Yoongi, who was still looking dazedly at the ground.

"If we are to confirm these accusations, then Jimin needs to wake up." The Queen sighed, sitting down on one of the seats in the bay.

"For now we wait."
